A List of Diet Snacks

A list of diet snacks to help you during your weight loss program. Each of these snack items contain only 50 calories per portion. A great way to indulge in your pangs while you are trying to lose weight.

A list  of diet snacks:

NUTS:

15 pistachio nuts

5 almonds

5 cashew nuts(plain roasted)

5 walnuts

10 peanuts

2 brazil nuts

Tip: Breaking the nuts into halves or smaller pieces will give your mind the impression that you are consuming more!

FRUITS:

2 dried dates

5 dried apricot halves

2 dried jackfuit pieces

250 ml watermelon juice

15 grapes

10 strawberries or raspberries or blueberries

1/2 cup fresh pineapple or orange sections

1 slice of mango

1 tablespoon of raisins

Tip: Mixing fruit and nut is a great idea for a tastier snack. And you can still keep it low cal!

VEGETABLES:

1 large cucumber 

1large carrot

2 cups shredded cabbage 

2 cups mushroom

1 large cup of sprouts

A big bowl of lettuce

8 olives 

1 small tomato

2 cups of any salad greens

Tip: Toss together any three or more of the above veggies with dash of lemon juice and salt for a delicious salad.Please remember to saute the mushrooms before using it in salad.

OTHER:

150 ml slim milk

1 teaspoon peanut butter

1 tablespoon jam

1/2 a cheese cube

1/2 a dessert bowl jelly

2 ounces roasted tofu

1 cream cracker

1/2 small slice toast

2 cups of steamed vegetables

2 cups of popcorn, air popped or microwaved

2 tablespoons canned tuna in water

2 egg whites, boiled or poached

2 grilled sardines

1 ounce of pepper chicken(no skin)

1 cup slim yogurt

1 ounce shellfish

1/2 cup of beans cooked(kidney, black,chick peas,or lentils)
