Drugs and The Problems They Bring
I won’t throw health class facts at you, I’ll give you the truth about what’s going on. Give this all some thought. Thank you.
Yes we know, drugs are bad. Yeah we know they kill and they supposedly make you less smart . Just around 40,000 people a year from drug use, and that is only in the U.S. Since this article is being written by a fifteen year old who’s been playing with marijuana for a while now, just hear me out.
At the moment I am in Sarasota, Florida. I know, you are thinking, “Who cares…” But I am not here to soak up the sun and enjoy the great weather. I am here because my cousin, Ian, died recently. He had been doing heroin and it was taking its toll on his body. Don’t get me wrong, my cousin was not just any other junkie, the kid was smart. If he was going to be a heroin addict and still pull of to be in honors in his classes, come on, he was brilliant. Well, my cousin tried to clean up. He went to a detox place but something went wrong. He ended up being on life support and they gave him a few days. He was brain dead, but out of nowhere some of his organs started to work. We were all thrilled to know he has a chance till the doctors said he was not getting waves to his brain, so they had to pull his support. 
You have probably heard a lot of drug stories in your life, so I am not trying to threaten you stay away from drugs. I am putting it out there what it does. My cousin was only nineteen years old and just started college not too long ago. He had his whole life ahead of him and it was taken so early because of what drugs do. I have been recently struggling with marijuana. My dad is a police officer in Springfield township and he had been giving me a lot of heat about it. I know there is a lot of Springfields, but I will not get specific. I lost a lot of my friends because of weed. I lost my girlfriend who I have been a complete jerk to. In class I feel like I cannot keep up with my classmates, and just at the beginning of my freshman year I had all A’s to A-’s. I even fell through depression which left me suicidal and a lone. Please, just give this all some thought. It is really not worth all of this trouble.
