Stop a Smoking or Drug Addiction
Recovery from smoking and drug addiction.
A free guide to stop smoking or doing drugs.
Firstly, all what is written here is part of my past experience. I started smoking and consuming drugs from the age of 13, at the time it was just to prove myself to my peers. From age 15-16 is when I consumed daily, and this is where things started getting out of hand. I started stealing with my friend to make money for drugs. The daily routine was getting some money, buy some drugs and chill out until the next day. Now one day I started thinking about my life and how it seemed rather pointless. I started to realize this was slowly destroying me, I had less energy I felt sort of lazy and I was starting to miss my old self (Fast, energetic and so on…) Now I started to think deeply for a way to stop this problem while it wasn’t too late. Here is how I got away from this living hell.
Step one: Things you should think about.
- You’re not an addict if you don’t want to be
- If you have any dark ideas or tired of your life, it is just the influence of drugs and you shouldn’t pay attention to those thoughts.
- When there’s a will there’s a way. If you want to quit you can quit
- Taking drugs or smoking doesn’t make you any cooler in fact it proves to the whole world that you are an idiot for literally killing yourself a little bit at a time.
- Your not a failure for being an addict given the right thoughts and will you can overcome this.
Step two: Things you should do.
- Simply just stop buy the stuff, you won’t die because you stop consuming and don’t blame your bad temper, this is a sign of recovery. Your body knows that you are the boss now and isn’t happy but it will get use to this.
- If it is due to your friends that you consume, you should try staying away from them for a while and clearly state that you don’t want to consume anymore.
- Nicotine patches and all that jazz are to me totally ineffective and a waste of money since they give you a dose lower in each following step but that doesn’t make your body stop its addiction.
Personally, I stopped buying any drugs and cigarettes and I stayed home for over a month not giving any signs to my so-called friends. I went fishing instead or played on my computer and spent more time with my family.
Step three: Signs of your recovery.
- You start to breathe much easier.
- You have better relations with the people you ignored in shame with your condition (parents, siblings and true friends.)
- You have a better taste for life.
Finally I’d like to thank all who read this, and if you by any chance are someone going through these situation congratulations, looking for help or articles like this is a sign of will to recover.
