Stop Smoking, Smoking Kills

Why smoking is bad and why it should stop.

Up to 105,000 people die each year in the UK from smoking. Smoking-related deaths are mainly due to cancers, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and heart disease. Half of the smoker’s die from smoking-related diseases. For a long term smoker their life expectancy is 10 years less than a non smokers. 7 out of 10 smokers in the UK live up to past the age of 68. The younger you start smoking its more likely that you would smoke for longer and die much quicker. Smoking diseases do not just kill you instantly, it can last up to a few years, for example chronic obstructive pulmonary. Smoking is addictive and  if you have it once , its likely you would have another.

Not only smokers can be affected with these disease. But the people who are around us that don’t smoke are also affected, this is called passive smoking. For example you are a non-smoker at a bus stop and someone next to you is smoking, you inhale the smoke which can affect you.

Here’s a video of the consequences a smoker can face – Please watch it.

As you see the video shows everything. If you smoke, you might think its not going to kill you, but it will. Smoking will waste your money and then kill you.

Smoking kills!
It affects you and others around you.
Please dont smoke.
