Video Game Addiction, a Huge Problem

Since the release of video games, the world has been changed. But do you think this is a good or bad change. Many people are now addicted and it affects their lives a lot!

First off, you should know if you are addicted to a video game. You should ask yourself the following questions.

For minor addicts:

-You play for more than 3 and a half hours at a time

-You always want to play when you get the chance

-You get mad if your parents tell you to rest after 2 hours

-You think about it when your doing homework and when others are speaking to you

  If you answered yes to anyone of the above. You suffer minor addiction (I shouldn’t use the word “suffer”) it’s not that bad, just try to be a little more active and healthy. Also try a bit harder in school or work.

For major addicts:

-You play for 4 or more hours at a time

-You get really mad and sometimes yell when your parents tell you to take a break

-You can’t stop thinking about the game

-You just have the temptation to never stop playing

-You think (or act) like it’s the only important thing in life

 If you have answered yes to any of the above, you suffer major addiction. Major addiction will be a huge problem in your life until you somehow fix it. But that’s why I wrote this article, to both give out help and information about video game addiction.

Video games are fun, I play them, and so does a huge majority of others. But you must make sure that video games don’t mess up your life. Many kids just can’t resist not playing. It’s like a drug (of course it’s not half as bad), once you had pint, you need to get more. Many people will have heard of the MMORPG’s (massive multiplayer online role playing game). Those are the real addicting games. When you start, it is incredibly fun! But after a while, you just get so desperate to achieve a stronger character. You will play it non-stop, all your focuses are on the game. And for every game, their is always something that you can benefit from if you pay real money. Now kids are wasting both time and money!

Some games offers so good online gaming experiences. Players with play for a consecutive 8 or more hours! It is just scary how some minds can be messed like that. Players just can’t seem to find a good reason for living other than video games! How do we solve this you might ask? No problem I can help you get back to your lives!

If you are suffering from major addiction, you may want to try a few ways to get back to your life. First of all, you should try to find a right sport for you. My sport is hockey, I always play it. Not only is it fun, but also gives you good health!

Just remember that you don’t have to necessarily stop playing. You could just do simple things such as hang out more with friends. Maybe set a goal in school, such as getting strait A’s! Another good idea is to get a pet if you haven’t already have one. Spend more time with it and take full responsibility, any pet can be fun! You could also try to explore new places (leave your house a little more often). Take walks and hikes, travel to another country and visit new people!

Just do your parents a favour and stay healthy! Remember to eat nutritious food, be active. Try not to game to much and take brakes. Focus a bit more on schoolwork. Just remember that no one wants to be obese and being healthy is the best way to support yourself in life!
