The old saying “It is better to prevent than cure” is apt to run in terms of maintaining health. But still many people who do not appreciate the health that have been obtained up to now ill regret later.

Currently about half of people who die sooner than the life expectancy is due to be caused by lifestyle factors. Lifestyles that adversely affect health include smoking, alcohol consumption, poor diet and lack of exercise.

Men are also more prone to experience the lifestyle diseases due to lifestyle factors such proximity with the daily activities of men. Factors such as smoking, many still consider it reasonable that if men smoke, even the habit began in childhood. Though smoking is hazardous to health and has negative effects on nearly every organ system. Likewise, other factors such as alcohol consumption and stress.

Environmental issues such as water and air pollution in fact also contributed to the mortality rate that is faster than life expectancy. But still the dominant factor is the result of our own lifestyle. So although we can not avoid environmental pollution factors, we still can maintain health by changing our lifestyle to become healthier.
