The Eastern White Bearded Wildebeest

The Eastern White Bearded Wildebeest is a member of the cow family and is easily distinguishable because of its distinct white beard and long horns.  The length of this animal is 1.5 metres and it can weigh up to a maximum of 500 pounds.  Most commonly this species of cow is found in Kenya.

During the gestation period of 250 days the female Eastern White Bearded Wildebeest can produce a total of 2 young.  The life expectancy for this animal is 21 years and they reach their sexual maturity at the age of 4.  The diet of this animal consists of grass and vegetables.
