The Vulture

Facts about the vulture.

The Vulture is a member of the bird family and is easily distinguishable because of its distinct weak feet and lack of feathers on their heads.  The length of this animal is 52 inches and it can weigh up to a maximum of 23 pounds.  Most commonly this species of bird is found in Africa.

During the incubation period of 4 months the female Vulture can produce a total of 1 egg.  The life expectancy for this animal is 48 years and they reach their sexual maturity at the age of 16.  This bird is known for attacking carcases of dead animals.
