Cures for a Hangover
Check this out if you want to prevent a hangover or cure an existing hangover. I’ve tested these methods myself.
Hangovers are never any thing to take lightly. You wake up in the morning or after a time of drinking alcoholic beverages and feel as if someone hit you in the head with a sledgehammer. Fortunately, there are ways to prevent and cure a hangover.
Water
Preventing a hangover means drinking water during the party time and at night while you are sleeping. The more water your drink the better, you need to re-hydrate the body. Alcohol dehydrates the body and the more you alcohol you consume the more dehydrated you become.
Salt
Salt is another way to help a hangover. As you consume alcoholic beverages, the body loses the needed salt content in the body. By eating salty foods during your drinking time, you can keep adding salt to the body. The next day, many people eat saltines crackers, this helps replenish the bodies need for salt. It is possible to take small amounts of salt from the saltshaker instead of eating salty foods.
Aspirin
Although aspirin is a short-term cure for a hangover, people do take two aspirin before bed as well as when they wake up. This however is not a recommended treatment for a hangover because the body is still not receiving the salt and water it needs to replenish. Another way to prevent a hangover is to eat a healthy meal before drinking alcoholic beverages. If you continue to snack while drinking, this can help lessen the pain when you wake up.
No Caffeine or Tomato Juice
The one thing that will not cure or prevent a hangover is caffeine. Caffeine will actually make you feel worst if you have a hangover. Caffeine is a stimulant and the body needs replenishing, not simulation. The only think to drink is water or with some people orange juice does help in the concentrated form mixed with water. The myth about tomato juice is just that, a myth, tomato juice will not help a hangover.
