Exercises for Growing Taller Part One

Being tall offers you a lot of benefits. You can develop self-esteem, you can easily reach for objects in high places, you can excel in sports (especially basketball), etc. You want to grow taller, right? Well keep on reading to get the most effective exercises for adding inches to your height.

1.      Hanging. One of the problems to growing taller is gravity. You spend most of your time standing, walking, running, etc. In other words, you are in an upright position most of the time which compresses your spine and other bones because of gravity. Good thing hanging can prevent your bones from shrinking when compressed by gravity all day long. All you need is a horizontal bar where you can hang. Hang in the bar for about 30 seconds and do it several times.

2.      Dry land swimming. Swimming is one exercise known to stretch many body parts. Instead of going to a swimming pool everyday, you can try dry land swimming. This is very easy. First step, lie down flat on your stomach with your body extended. Next, put your hands in front of you and pretend that you are swimming. Do this for about 3-5 minutes.

3.      Pelvic shift. This exercise is very helpful for stretching the spine. This is very easy. First is lie on your back with your shoulders and palms flat on the ground. Bend your knees and move your feet as close to your buttock as you can. Next, arch your back so that the pelvis will thrust upward. Remain at this position for about 30 seconds.

4.      Sukhasana. This is a famous yoga position and very effective for stretching the spine. All you have to do is sit in the floor cross- legged with your back straight then start to breathe slowly.
