Healing Crystals: Their Color Classifications and Benefits
Crystals come in a rainbow of colors. For easy reference, I have listed the different color classifications and their benefits so that you can easily determine which types of crystals are best for the results you wish to obtain.
Pink and Peach Crystals
Pink stones are associated the planet Venus and with unconditional love. They are thought to be in harmonic resonance with the heart and higher heart chakras. These stones are comforting and alleviate anxiety. They are known to be excellent emotional healers and help overcome loss, dispel trauma and unite the heart and sacral chakras combining love with action. They help the wearer become attuned with universal love and are ideal for wearing for long periods of time.
Red and Orange Crystals
Red and orange crystals resonate in tune with the base and sacral chakras and with the planet Mars. They are beneficial for treating hemorrhages and inflammation. They are associated with increasing energy and initiating action. Their effect is extremely stimulating, so they are best for short term use. The colors of these crystals represent vitality and are excellent for stimulating creativity and assertiveness. They have a vibrant and yet have a grounding energy that is beneficial for getting things done.
Yellow, Cream and Gold Crystals
Traditionally, these colors of crystals are associated with the planet Mercury and with the Sun. They are very beneficial for balancing emotion and intellect and are excellent for reducing seasonal depression, bringing the warmth of the sun into winter. Gold stones have long been linked to wealth and abundance.
Green Crystals
Green stones are associated with the planet Venus and resonate in tune with the heart chakra. They provide emotional healing and instill compassion. Traditionally, these stones are thought to improve vision and alleviated diseases of the eyes as well as soothe tired eyes. Some stones of this color are thought to neutralize pollutants in the environment, clear electromagnetic smog and heal the earth.
Blue-Green and Turquoise Crystals
These colors of stones will help you tune in to higher levels of being. They stimulate metaphysical abilities and spiritual awareness. They instill a profound sense of peace, tranquility and relaxation. Turquoise stones will help you to connect with cosmic consciousness and help draw it down to earth. All these stones are helpful in work with the third eye by uniting the heart and intuition.
Blue and Indigo Crystals
Blue stones vibrate in tune with the throat and the soma chakras. They are excellent for self expression, and promoting the assistance of Angels in order to combat the forces of darkness. Indigo stones are linked the highest of states of consciousness as well as the depths of space. Because they stimulate intuition and metaphysical abilities, the help instill a mystical perception of the world when placed on the forehead where the third eye is thought to reside.
Purple, Lavender and Violet Crystals
Purple stones are in tune with the crown and higher crown chakras as well as the planet Jupiter. They are also linked with multidimensional realities. They draw spiritual energy into the physical plane and encourage service to others. Having a lighter and finer vibration, lavender and violet stones are linked to the highest of states of consciousness and are very beneficial in spiritual meditation.
Brown Crystals
Brown stones have a lot of the same properties as green ones because of their connection to the earth and are thought to absorb noxious substances. They are associated with grounding and protection and are extremely beneficial for cleansing and purifying energies. They are associated with the planet Saturn and Pluto.
Black, Silver and Gray Crystals
Black stones are extremely protective and are thought to entrap negative energies and neutralize them. The are also extremely efficient when it comes to detoxifying your body. Many silver-gray stones were once believed to have alchemical properties that included transmutation and invisibility. Black and gray stones are linked to the planet Saturn while silver crystals are associated with the moon and the planet Mercury.
White and Colorless Crystals
These are considered the most spiritual and esoteric group of crystals. They are thought to carry the vibrations of pure light and are linked to the highest realms of being. They resonate in tune with the higher crown chakra and are linked to the moon. The are very powerful energizers that purify and heal the human aura and radiate energy out into the environment.
