Hemi Synchronization: A Groundbreaking, Scientifically-proven Natural Alternative Therapy
I was introduced to Hemi Synchronization in a psychology class. The instructor loved to experiment, find and work with alternative therapeutic tools that were natural, but did not necessarily fit within the stereotypical “shrink and couch” situation many people envision therapy to be.

The instructor explained, as we all know, that our brain consists of two spheres: the right and the left. Typically, these spheres are influenced by opposing stimuli and are often, therefore, running on literally different brain wave frequencies. Without consistent, harmonious brain wave patterns a person cannot reach his or her ideal state of tranquility. This state of peace is essential to achieving the greatest level of well-being, intellectual capability, etc; allowing a person the ability to reach his or her highest potential in all aspects of life.
Life is constantly in motion. Everyday time seems to pass faster, more swiftly. One’s schedule can feel as though it is filling more rapidly than ever before, and even if the days are slow, boredom can lead to apathy and or other such time affective situations.
So amidst such trying obstacles, how does one reach an ideal state of tranquility? The process of Hemi Synchronization has been created for this very purpose.

Through a specialized combination of pink sound, music, voice guidance, and binaural beats hemi synchronization is a technique that works to stabilize and bring both hemispheres to a synchronized state of wave activity; hence the quite appropriately chosen name.
According to studies, Hemi synchronization has been shown to enhance mental, physical and emotional states. And, had I not experienced this technique firsthand, I might have remained skeptical of such a seemingly simple, all-natural miracle mental high. After all, how can sound alone do so much for one’s overall well-being?
We entered the classroom and the lights were out. Two large speakers had been placed on either side of the front of the room. We were instructed to lie on the floor in a comfortable position (ideally on our backs) and not move the entirety of the session. Then all we had to do was close our eyes, listen and reap the incredible benefits of the technique.

When the CD played its last note, one student was quietly snoring, while the rest seemed to stretch, smile with the grogginess of sleep, or the natural high of silly happiness. I fell under the latter category, found myself almost wandering with a light gaiety and care free feeling from one fellow classmate to another. My inhibitions had completely fallen away, as if I was truly intoxicated.
Without a second thought, I began hugging everyone, touching the other student’s hair almost mesmerized by it and even, additionally, professing my love for one and all. It was an amazing high, an incredible state of being. A feeling I never wanted to end. It was a state achieved in one of the most natural forms, leaving no ill side effects, and giving me one of the greatest experiences of my life.

I really enjoyed your article. I just wrote an article about brainwave entrainment and touched on the subject. You added a lot of depth to the hemi sync side of it. Excellent writing.

Maybe it was unintentional, or maybe it was intentional, -but I LIKE the use of that Beethoven sheet music repeated TWICE, suggesting TWO halves of the same brain receiving the same input, in unison…

Well, well now. Wellness indeed! This is exactly what I am and have been trying to do most of my life, being healthy and drug/chemical free through natural/alternative healing methods and Eastern Philosophies of merging/harmonizing the two parts to everything in life, yin and yang. I am about to publish an article on Vitamins A, C, E and the mineral Selenium, pretty much old news but might help someone to understand nutrition on the micro level. But what you wrote here has me including this method since I knew not until you wrote. You are very prolific in your writing and expand what is possible to achieve health. Thanx for sharing, Tim
