How to Achieve Lucid Dreaming in three Easy Steps

Lucid dreaming made easy!

The Basics

First, to achieve lucid dreaming you must be motivated! Read anything and everything you can about lucid dreams , Go on forums that discuss lucid dreaming , Tell your family or friends about lucid dreaming to get them motivated has well so you don’t feel alone in this.

The second basic step is one of the most important. DO NOT sleep late or when you become sleepy, Being conscious and aware that your going to dream is very hard to do when you sleep at a later time. Try to sleep at the same time each day, and get used to that time.

This is maybe the most important step so listen carefully. Once you have achieved your lucid dream DO NOT get to excited ( almost impossible not to do around the first 2-3 times, so don’t worry ) if you do you will probably wake up. Also don’t be in a hurry to get things done thinking you’re going to wake up soon, take your time and have fun!

Also, keep a dream journal! Why? Because it will help increase your dream recall, which is very important if you want to remember you had a lucid dream!

The Techniques

Ok, now onto the next major step, to achieve lucid dreaming you have to have a technique. I will be listing 3 of the main techniques i know of ( there’s many more, but these 3 have been proven to show better results )

MILD (Mnemonic Induced Lucid Dream)

This technique is usually used by beginners and experienced people as well. With this technique you just say to yourself “I will have a lucid dream” , ” I will become aware that I am dreaming” and other things similar to that. The main idea of this method is to convince yourself that you WILL have a lucid dream.

Other forms of this method are to do this AFTER you have awoken from a dream , or to write down on a piece of paper ” I will have a lucid dream ” etc.

WILD (Wake Induced Lucid Dream)

This technique is a little harder to do, but considered by some easier.

The main thing you do in this technique is to make your body sleep while your mind stays awake. Sounds a little tricky but all you have to do is just think about something ( thinking about lucid dreaming is preferred ) by doing this your mind will think your body is asleep thus move onto the next stage getting closer and closer to dreaming as the stages go. Then after awhile you will start to see images, focus on these images which will eventually turn into dreams and then you’ll notice your in the dream!

  1. Wow, very nice guide ! explained alot

  2. I have been looking in to this kind of thing and am really glad i found this site i will try it soon. Anyone else who sees this sould look in to Astral Projection also its close to the same thing but then again so different.
    Once again Nice Work!!!

  3. I know some people who say that they have Lucid dreaming so I am going to try it to. I really do hope that I can achive this, they say its fun!

  4. You should *never* recommend to others to buy random pills online. If you have never tried them and do not know what is in them, how can you suggest others have a go? You would be morally responsible for anyone being harmed. Highly irresponsible.

It is a very self-contradictory essay.

  5. Gill, He DID WARN people, let me quote him from his article:

“But doing some research about them wouldn’t hurt, so before you try this pills check out Google, or another search engine and read other peoples opinions ! “

  6. I think this is a good idea I am going 2 try it

  7. GREAT!

  8. When using the awake induced dream , do you actually close your eyes?

  9. Yes, anon, you do close your eyes.

  10. wow i never realised what i was doing was lucid dreaming when I was dreaming and knowing what was going on. It happens to me regularly and i didn’t even know about lucid dreaming untill today.

  11. Very interesting! In the past week I’ve been reading nearly everything on the internet (maybe not :p) to find out what lucid dreams are and how to get them. I’m pretty full of these thoughts and i think that your article covers it pretty well. I would like you to check my article about Lucid Dreams, for both my and your sake. You might find out some things that you didn’t know. As always, I found stuff that I didn’t know in your article. I thank you greatly for sharing this article friend. Unfortunately I only have these dreams very rarely but I’m practicing and doing RCs and all that stuff. hopefully I will soon control my dreams.

    Best regards,
    Anders

  16. My boyfriend had one… But by getting a full nights sleep.. Waking up for about 30min and then going back to sleep… It really works… He has really cool lucid dreams. Does anyone know if two people can have one lucid dream??

  17. I read about lucid dreaming in a book once…. it sounds sooo cool but yet so hard! I have been trying for the last to days only but once I fall asleep I just lie there, dont even remember my dreams one bit! Any tips??

  18. do i have to close my eyes in the wake induced one? or keep them open?

  19. Keep eyes CLOSED when doing wake induced.

  20. can two people have one lucid dream? the answer is if you have to ask this question then your an idiot

  21. idk Edivian
Can someone meet other REAL people in lucid dreams? Am I an idiot for asking this one?

  22. I suggest laying facing up and arms to your side. Your brain will begin to tell you that you are sleepy and telling you to move, Don’t.
I did that and the whole night I knew I was dreaming.
That was my first time and it was pretty cool.
But maybe the position helps induce lucid dreaming.

    Good luck b

I will try the techniques and hopefully I can achieve the lucid dreaming otherwise I will just have to let the dream take control of me :)

  25. I have had 2 lucid dreams before, and in the 2nd one, I learned something, u can feel pain in lucid dreams, and then wake up feeling that pain

  30. I don’t know about two people and one dream, but I too could only dream (not always lucidly) when I woke up after six or seven hours and go to sleep just after again. I’m only thirteen it could be different but still.

  31. cool! lucid dreaming looks fun! but if anybody reads this comment and is or wants to lucid dream then keep in mind that some people sort of get out of control about it (example: people say that their god because they were told so in their dream.) you shouldnt be believing all the stuff you see in lucid dreams.

  32. hey! Just dropped by and wanted to say not bad of a job uve done! very ndepth

  33. It is possibly for more than one person to have a lucid dream. Two of my friends (both who hate lying) asked eachother what they dreamt last night. They both replied that they were flying. I have not been able to lucid dream, but I think I know what the problem is. This article was very well written and has plenty of good advice. Very well done.

    YOUR FACE

  34. Lucid dreaming is cool, because you can fly and defy all laws of physics in lucid dreams.

  36. hey @that guy from movie are u from 9gag

  37. hey @that guy from that movie are u from 9gag

  38. Cool article! My first Lucid dream was a Mnemonic induced one, I just moved from one dream into another and noticed it was a lucid one. Cool thing was: I could create things, a skill of which someone told me wasn’t common for a ’starter’. After the lucid dream my brain took over again and ‘popped’ me into a regular dream (it was lucid but only with awareness).
