Know These Alternative Remedies

Acupressure

Acupressure is an ancient Chinese technique. In this process the energy flow is stimulated by applying pressure with thumbs, palms and elbows on specific points (same as in mudras). The applied pressure stimulates the energy paths and increases the efficiency of the immune system. It immediately provides allergy relief.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is also an ancient Chinese technique. In this process needles are pierced in specific points on the body. Each point corresponds to a particular organ and pricking the needle sends an impulse to that organ to release hormones or chemicals. It strengthens the resistance by regulating the immune reactions. This therapy ensures permanent allergy relief.

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy helps the patient to get instant allergy relief. In this process the patient has to inhale essential oils like eucalyptus from an oil vial or massage these oils on the body. Inhaled oil vapors immediately relax the brain and body and relieve from allergy.

Reflexology

Reflexology is almost similar to mudras in yoga. In this process reflexes are stimulated with the thumb and forefingers. The touch and the pressure receptors of the nervous system transfer the sensation to the receptive areas of the body that activates natural healing system by improving the blood supply.

Reiki

Reiki is an ancient Japanese technique. In this process the reiki practitioner hold his hands above the patient while the patient is relaxing on a sofa. The energy transferred from the reiki practitioner mobilizes the allergic components and treats the allergy.

Yoga

Yoga is an ancient Indian technique that is very effective in treating allergies including sinus pain and runny nose. A process called neti is used to relieve the sinuses filled with mucus. In this process saline nasal irrigation is used as an allergy treatment and unlike other medications yoga has no harmful side effects. Mudras and yoga breathing techniques are very useful in relieving allergies.

  1. A useful article, valli. I am a person who has all kinds of allergies including asthma and the latex one you mention, so this was particularly interesting to me. By the way, I bought one of those roll-up soft latex keyboards and couldn’t understand why my hands were itchy and red and my face prickled…it’s a latex allergy!

  2. Valli,
This is a comprehensive list, and I like the homeopathic and natural treatments. Wonderful!!!

  3. Thank you for your appreciation Louie and Icy.

  4. Thanks for following up my questions to the flower article with a whole list of allergy related things.

  5. A very good list answering any questions I may have had. I live in Canada and find that in the past 7 years or so new allergies keep popping up. This information is invaluable.

    Thank you, valli

  6. Thank you for your encouraging words, Jodi and Darlene.
