The purpose of this discipline is to help maintain healthy and to find physical, mental and spiritual happiness.

Where to practice yoga

Many people want to know what is the perfect environment to practice yoga. To practice the exercises, I recommend a separate room in your home. If possible, remove all the furniture and objects that may divert your mind to practice. If you have pictures that show some related of spiritual objects and places, will help you create an appropriate environment.

The success of the practice also depends on a quiet, free from noise and disturbance, so choose a quiet and well ventilated room.

While you do your practice, there must not be other people in the room. If you have friends who also want to practice, you may join them together and practice the exercises.

In schools of yoga classes and groups, is preferred to use a very clean and quiet room with wood flooring or carpeting.

How to prepare the place for our exercises

The place must not be soft or very soft, ideally it prefers the carpeted floor, or use a blanket or a foam of about 6 inches thick.

Whatever site you use, this should always be kept clean. You should not wear shoes during practice, or step on the place of the practice with them.

When to practice exercises

Most yogis practice their exercises too early in the morning. The best time to practice yoga, is before the start of the day, filled thousands of responsibilities. Furthermore, in these early hours some things can’t disturb us (cars, people, etc.).

The peace of mind is absolutely necessary to practice the exercises. It is very important that you choose a fixed schedule for the practice (30 to 60 minutes).
