Meditation is a Quiet Revolution

I have been meditation, instructing workshops and having consultations on mediating for over three years. The most important thing this has taught me is that everyone is different, and therefore everyone has different needs when mediating. Admittedly, there are common elements in meditation, but each person is unique. I believe that meditation is one of the most practical empowerment that anyone can participate in.

A “quiet revolution” is an oxymoron, of course. Meditation is usually private, quiet practice. In North America its acceptance has changed dramatically in recent years, but is not yet universally accepted, as with most revolutions, one meter before, during and after the outward manifestations of enlightenment. In this culture, I know that more and more people talking and writing about their meditation practices.

Meditating in groups is also common and very powerful, but each is unique meditation, quiet, private experience. In the workplace, it is rarely openly practiced meditation, or considered, except security, small groups or friends. When I was a keynote workshop, participants had much time to talk to me in private, in quieter tones at the failure to admit to meditate. The voice can not be silent in these days, but there is always a silence, a silence, even about the practice in many contexts.

I am comfortable with the diversity of terms used to describe meditation. My purpose for meditation is to connect with the divine and to be replenished from the Source. Some speak of the mystical experience and awareness, while others are more comfortable talking about relaxation, tranquility, and strength. Increased awareness, intuition, imaging and vision are often used to describe the experience of meditation. I believe that helping others to express their own experiences of meditation is a process, even when words are not smooth.

Long-time meditates May find other mediators for a long time with ease. Emit signals meditates or vibrations that are quieter and more compatible with autonomy than those who do not meditate or do not have a type of meditation practice, which is fed by the awareness of high. Gardening, yoga, sports, and regular relaxation can get the same calming signals when it is practiced in order to achieve harmony with oneself.

No matter how and where you meditate, you must make a decision to meditation and practice regularly in order to fully benefit. All the benefits that come with regular practice over a period of time, may only meditate when stressed certainly be beneficial to the immediate situation, but the long-term benefits of a practice to include the general welfare, health, immune system, longevity, clarity of thought and balance.

Meditation is often associated with certain religions. Meditation can be practiced in all religions, but the two are not synonymous. In my work, I continue to separate religion of meditation, if my clients choose to combine the two, which is good. People with strong religious beliefs are attracted to the types of meditation, according to their beliefs.
Whatever the method chosen, the benefits of regular meditation, over time, are as varied as the people who meditate. It is quite common for meditates long time to recognize that the benefits physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.

I recently received an email from a long time meditating in India to talk about their experiences of meditation. It is a pleasure to read. It became clear to me that the same elements that encourage people to discover and use.

It uses breathing to relax. It has several processes to manage stress and talk about the spirit that she is not worried by them in their meditation. It has two types of “focal points” for your attention. A focus is a visual, a traditional lamp of India, which is regarded as the divine light that illuminates your heart. Another point is one of the most famous mantras, Om, which she sang several times, believing that it only takes a little time to reach the state of consciousness that is your goal for the meditation. And it has a regular practice.

His message was a good summary of what many long-term meditate could report. While working with the new long-time meditates, I discovered that the most difficult aspect of meditation is regular practice. All elements of meditation are easy to understand, but to sit down and make many new challenges meditates.

If you have not meditated before, can seem mysterious, However, meditation is very simple. I recommend a maximum of twenty minutes for new meditates. These elements are:

Organize your time when you will not be disturbed;

Sit in a comfortable position and relax;

Close your eyes, unless you prefer an eye open for meditation;

Breathing for a few breaths intentionally;

Choose a focal point, such as music, a song, a beautiful image, a voice guidance;

Stay with the focal point, if your mind wanders, gently return to the focal point;

Meditation to stop their activities and return refreshed.

If this is the first meditation, May you feel that “nothing happens” at the first time you sit down to meditate. It is a common feeling. At the end of your meditation time, simply get up and continue your day. The benefits are cumulative, that is why we advocate a regular practice.

If you want to meditate, but they are not meditation or meditation is not as often as you like, please be gentle with yourself. Even if you can sit and do it, you can also find ways to make it more attractive. In order to have a practice of meditation, you must practice meditation. Above all, follow your heart and trust your own guidance center.
You want to be part of this quiet revolution? Are already in the revolution, but who want to meditate more often? , In this case, a meditation session at a time, until it becomes a natural part of life.
