Natural Treatment for Aches with Unknown Etiology

There are sometimes some part of the body that aches and what made it hurt is unknown. Here is a natural remedy for the aches that fall in that category.

The best way to evaluate an ache or a pain is to dissect that as best you possibly can. Reflect back to recollect if you bumped an elbow making it sore or if you ran into an open drawer that provided you with the hip that hurts. Once the evaluation of the pain can be pin pointed you have some treatment to go with for a remedy. If there is no way to come to a conclusion why some part of your body aches, we call that etiology unknown. In other words we do not know what made the pain or ache cause that result.

In the case of an unknown there are still natural treatments to help alleviate the soreness or other symptoms of that problem. Again we can look at factors that can determine what remedies will assist in the comfort of that pain. Is there swelling; cold compresses will likely help if done within the first 12 hours, most often within the first 2 hours is better and immediately is best. Since we are looking at an unknown cause for the swelling, it is probably something that is older than the optimal 2 hours, if we are fortunate. Applying cold can still be a benefit for reducing swelling. By the reduction of the edema or swelling, the pain might subside or completely leave.

When a finger is painful and the motion of that finger is diminished due to that soreness, it gives us a message each time we use it. The message is to “stop” using that digit. By immobilizing the finger, some relief of pain can be the result. At times it takes more than a few hours, so patience is a virtue well suited for this observance of pain on moving that finger.

Discoloration of an arm has many points to think about. Is the color red, does it go up the arm in a line? This is something that should receive medical attention for immediately. If the discoloration is dark in nature and contained in one small area, it might be a bruise and will diminish,  in the pain category in several hours to a few days depending how you heal. The changes of dark to yellow will indicate it is recovering well. If the darkness  does not get lighter or has some other traits like hardness, warmth or extreme tenderness, don’t wait with further treatment, but seek a doctor’s advice.
