Pain Relief for Feet

When your feet hurt your entire body and soul are uncomfortable. After a long day on your feet these recipes will help.  How do I stop my feet from smelling? How do I relieve my tired aching feet? What can I do for the corns on my feet? It does not matter if your feet are aching, tired, and/or just plain smelly. Choose your favorite and create the aromatherapy recipe that is best for you. Be sure to use pure essential oils and not what can be obtained in a craft store.

Oh My Aching Feet Relief Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 TBLS. Carrier oil
  • 3 drops peppermint
  • 3 drops lemon
  • 3 drops tea tree
  • 3 drops eucalyptus
  • 3 drops sage

Method

Add carrier oil to a clean glass bottle. Add essential oils. Gently rock to blend before each use. Massage from the bottom of your feet right on up to your calves. For an extra treat, place the closed glass bottle into a bowl of hot water and use the massage oil heated. Remember: You have just put oil on your feet and they will be slippery.

Smelly Feet Relief – How do I stop my feet from smelling?

Ingredients

  • 2 TBLS. Witch hazel 
  •  ½ cup rubbing alcohol  
  • 12 drops tea tree
  • 10 drops lavender  
  • 7 drops patchouli  
  • 2 drops lemongrass

Method

Pour witch hazel and rubbing alcohol into a dark colored sprayer-type bottle. Add the essential oils. Shake well to blend before each use. Spray onto clean, dry feet and let air dry. Your nose will be happy you did.

Stimulating Footbath

Ingredients

  • 2 drops sweet bay  
  • 2 drops ginger  
  • 2 drops peppermint

Method

Add essential oils into a large bowl of hot water. Soak feet for 10-15 minutes. The scent of peppermint and ginger will also rejuvenate you spirit and give you extra energy.

Shoe Deodorizer

  • 6 TBLS cornstarch 
  • 3 TBLS baking soda 
  • 20 drops rosemary
  • 15 drops tea tree  
  • 8 drops lemon  
  • 7 drops clove

Method

Mix cornstarch and baking soda together being sure to remove any lumps. Add essential oils slowly stirring with a spoon until well mixed. Add all to a clean jar and close. Let sit 2 days for essential oils to mingle. Use 1-2 TBLS. per shoe and rub in. Leave overnight. Empty shoes of any loose powder the next day and wear your shoes as you normally would. Seal the jar and store remainder in a cool spot.

Corn Relief Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 TBLS. carrier oil 
  • 3 drops lemon 
  • 4 drops tea tree

Method

Add carrier oil to a clean glass bottle. Add the essential oils. Gently shake the bottle to blend before each use. Rub onto corns daily.
