Rejuvenate Through Ayurveda
In a fast-paced world with many speed breakers along the way, the simple Ayurvedic approach to life has some answers on how we can empower ourselves. Read on to discover more.

Pollution comes in many forms. In today’s world it is very easy to succumb to any temptations that may harm our mind and body in the long run if consume in excess. These temptations can come in many forms with interesting packaging – anything from intoxicants and shopping to chocolate. It is very easy in the world today to become an addict to some major and minor vice.
While minor vices keep us ticking, major vices in the long run are capable of causing some harm. So it is best to plan to be healthy when you’re young because youth seldom lasts, except in the mind. The body will grow old.
To keep fit and youthful despite the march of time, it is wise to embrace a healthy lifestyle and a healthy approach to all things. Sure, vices often make life ‘more fun!’ and allow us to escape from the boredom of everyday routine. But by the time you realise, what a toll it has taken on your life, things might be harder to correct. Worse still would be to sit back and simply resign yourself to ill health and helplessness at your plight and condition.
The human body has the most amazing ability to rejuvenate itself and whole organs can regenerate themselves when harmed or severed in some way, like the liver. This naturally means that the body can tolerate twenty years of defiant revelry before any significant signs of wear and tear begin to show on your angiograms and bio-chemistry tests!
‘Rejuvenation’ is a key word in Ayurveda and it can be applied to the body, mind and spirit in an attempt to return it to a natural and clean state. People who undergo such treatment and therapy are usually successful at preventing avoidable diseases.
You don’t need to cross thirty before you start thinking about how to refresh your skin. Although the global beauty industry spends million on manufacturing creams and lotions to keep skin looking young and fresh, some age old ayurvedic remedies when practice regularly, offer great and more lasting results. The skin, after all is a tissue, which can be easily rejuvenated when young and fresh. It is at this point that one needs to pay attention to vices and addictions as the harmful toxins from these will manifest themselves and try and exist through the skin pores. Even stress at times escapes from the skin in form of rashes, boils and pimples. These can often be kept at bay through the right diet, exercise and use of internal ayurvedic preparation like aloe vera. Aloe vera can also be externally applied on the skin as a lotion or in the form of a soap.
Meditation and prayer are also widely recommended in our rejuvenation routine as they come down and ultimately eliminate the mental tensions, conflicts and negative emotions that pervade so much of modern life. Ayurvedic philosophy believes that the calmer a person is, the more harmonious is the energy and body chemistry created around that person.
Digestion and healthy diet are also key factors in order to attempt the best result for holistic ayurvedic rejuvenation. Young bodies, skin types and minds respond best to this type of ayurvedic care and healing. It is this type of healthy approach to life that ultimately leads to a greater awareness of the body and puts us closest to life and nature.
