The Benefits of Nutrition When Using Reiki

The importance of nutrition when working with energy.

Many people are unaware of the importance of nutrition at the best of times, let alone when they are using reiki.

If you have been trained in reiki this is one of the benefits that really do not get taught when being trained.

Having been a reiki master for over 10 years some of the things which I have learnt have not come from my reiki masters here in the earth plane, but from those in the spirit world.

One of the things which I have been taught by my reiki guides is about nutrition, although I am trained in nutrition it never occurred to me about how what I was eating would affect the reiki which I was working with.

Now all this information is not written in stone, and many of you may not wish to take the information on but that is fine, your pathway is yours and mine is mine, but as I am always asked about this I figured putting into my blog could not harm.

Nutrition is a complex subject all by itself, and breaks down into many sections and areas, although I am not going to go into the full teachings of nutrition I am hoping to bring about your awareness to this important area.

Food is what I am talking about here, and not only does the colour of the food influence your energies but also the type of food which is ingested on a daily basis.

Food offers energy when it finally breaks it down, now think about reiki. Reiki is energy which is transmitted through you as an individual. What can increase this energy is the energy which is produced in your body through food.

If for instance you do not have a good diet which includes plenty of vegetables, pulses, fruit etc then your system is going to be sluggish.

So therefore the energy which comes into and flows through you has a much harder time getting through the lower vibration which your organs and body take on from having “sluggish” foods placed into the body which take the organs a long time to break down.

The energies will continue to flow through you, but to a lesser degree, for me the frequency at which is flows is depleted.

Now this is not to say that you have to starve or go without comfort food, but really think about your relationship with your food.

I have put steps in place to ensure that you can begin to put this into your every day living to get optimum results not only from your food but from your reiki energies as well.

STEP ONE
Think about what food you are consuming – if this is not healthy then consider using different ingredients, cooking yourself (which is so easy), using organic ingredients, cutting out dairy and replacing it with soya, what has mother earth got to offer you in terms of natural food – food that has not been processed in any way. Trust me when I say it takes time but a small change every week = 52 changes a year which = a much higher vibration and well being.

STEP TWO
Think about the colour of the food which you eat on a daily basis – do you eat an array of colours, how can you now incorporate all the colours of your chakras into your diet through your food?, if you are not sure take a week or so and make a list of all the foods which you like and what there colours are and maybe even there nutritional value. Take action today to enhance your vibration through your food.

STEP THREE
Begin to think of new ways in which you can produce optimum results through your food – growing your own veg is a fab way of getting organic food, it is a really relaxing hobby and satisfying to be able to eat your own veg, no preservatives, no colours just pure unadulturated wholesome food.

If you have a really busy lifestyle for me that is just an excuse not to achieve, what is better a really busy lifestyle with bad nutrition and an illness or a really busy lifestyle with good nutrition and the ability to do more for a longer period of time increasing your life expectancy? I know which one I would prefer, but this is your life and only you can make the changes.

STEP FOUR
Use your reiki energies when cooking, ask your reiki guides and energies to bless the food with which you are using, healthy or not, you will be surprised at how much better it tastes. Even more necessary if you are consuming fast food on a regular basis.

The reiki energies can put some life force energy back into your food. I personally do not use a microwave as it kills the food, but if you have to use one then again reiki the food with the symbols if you are trained in Degree II or higher, or simply sit with the food in your hands for a couple of minutes before putting into the microwave for incineration!!.

Reiki is a powerful word and not used enough by those trained in it. You can incorporate reiki energies when peeling your veg, and using Zen which is the art of doing just one thing at a time and putting all your energies into that task, your concentration can be to invoke and permeate the work reiki whilst peeling your veg, dishing up the food onto plates which you have blessed with reiki etc etc… Let your imagination guide you.

STEP FIVE
Implementing all the above information into something useful. Take small steps to make massive change, I appreciate that most people run their lives at 200mph every day, for those on a truly spiritual pathway will know if they have not already found out that whilst getting through a day at that sort of speed achieves nothing in the long term, well only stress and illness for the majority.

You miss out on the most important aspects of life, and then complain that life is going to quickly for you…. Mmm wonder why that is!!!

To consider changes to your daily intake of food, take the 7 day challenge as I have called it, after thinking about the above then allow yourself just 7 days to make at least three changes and stick with those three changes for those 7 days. You have to be mentally prepared before any action will come to pass, so take time to really mentally prepare yourself for change otherwise your ego will resist and what you resist will persist.

Fantastic now you are there ask yourself “If I have achieved 7 days then I will easily be able to do another 7 days” and there you are before you know it you have changed your nutritional habits and incorporated new ingredients.

What I found helpful when I was researching new ingredients was to take a journal, and make a note of the new ingredient say aubergine, I would then write which chakra it related to via its colour, I then also logged the nutritional information which it offered me, and then looked up some recipes and how to incorporate it into my diet.

Simple and easy for even the busiest of people, you could do this in your lunch hour. And spread it over a period of 7 days and there you have it. Calculate that over a year and you are well on your way to a better vibration and wellbeing.
