Tips to Detox
It is not what we out into the body that makes us healthy, but the removal of waste matter, accumulated from years of improper eating.

Tips To Detox:
As soon as you wake up, drink a cup of hot water with lemon and ginger. This clears the system of mucous.
Do five minutes of deep breathing which helps improve the lymphatic system, expels toxins via the lungs, and oxygenates the system.
Brush your skin every morning. This helps excretion of the accumulated toxins in the lymph systems and enhances the body’s natural Detox process. Start on dry skin on the feet using clockwise circular movement working towards the heart.
Counting calories is not just a fad – it helps you restrict its intake. Try it out.
During a fast, it is essential that you get enough sleep. Come home from work, take a shower, and allow yourself time to quietly and restfully meditate and pray.
Go on a Detox diet program, may be even on a water fast or a lemon juice fast. But don’t go around spreading word that you are on a diet. You set yourself up for failure and disappointment when you make your fast public.
Switch to herbal Detox teas. Teas act as both laxatives and diuretics and can thus help your body dispose of waste more rapidly. Instead of your usual caffeine fix, have a cup of hot water flavoured with the juice of half a lemon. This stimulates the gastric juices in your digestive system.
Eliminate processed foods that deposit toxins into our body and have more of raw foods; the more of fruits, veggies and legumes, the better. Double your intake of vegetables, this will alkalise your body and enable cells to function at their best. Also, include whole grains, raw nuts and seeds. Have more fish if you can.
Use olive oils instead of butter or animal fat for cooking or use vegetable oil.
Take about one and a half litres of distilled or purified water during the course of the day. Avoid other beverages except juices and mild tea. Keep off alcohol during the entire time you plan to detox your body.
Regular cleansing of skin from accumulated toxins on the surface is a must. Ideally you should use steam or sauna once in a week or fortnight to get those toxins out.
For a healthier life, you need to Detox your body. These suggestions will help you in the Detoxification of your body.

Thank you. I like detoxing every now and again. I have a difficult time with too little food during a detox. This always makes me feel ill. But the skin brushing, sauna, teas etc…I enjoy.

Good tips, thanks for sharing! I’m up for all of those steps, except the last one with the sauna. It feels good at the time but in the long run in actually damages your skin.
