Will Power
A will power workshop in part.
Unlock your Will power (A rough guide for Aliens)
This book is intended as a guide only for alien beings and no responsibility will be taken by the author for use of its contents.
If you do not feel that you have enough will power at the moment to read or complete any of the described exercises, then it is advised that a better time in the future may suit.
This book is intended as a guide for alien beings, which, it should be assumed, have a basic knowledge of humanity and familiar to earthling ways and customs.
An understanding of the English language is also required.
Some exercises require fair eyesight for mirror work or writing.
For the purpose of this subject I will be communicating towards the “earth dwelling, English speaking” audience, so no offence is intended if you are of other disposition.
We all have Will Power,
be it a small amount, or a whopping great skip full.
Unlocking your will power is the aim of this guide.
We all possess the will power to do what we want.
We all have differing levels of will power.
We don’t all lead the same lifestyle.
What items might I need for this journey?
Although not always necessary these following items will help you to maximise the use this guide.
- Some parts of this guide will require a “self moment” in which you may have to practice your own relaxation techniques.
- Paper & Pen and envelope.
- Access to a mirror.
- Time.
- A mind, for mental exercises.
The reason I have occasionally been slightly vague on timings etc, is that I do not intend to put my Will upon you at any stage of this guide, although I am happy to guide you through the book by way of friend.
Explanation of exercises will be as concise as possible.
Some common sense should be observed if carrying out the exercises, especially if first thing in the morning or last thing at night when your mind may not be as alert as it normally is.
The potential of this guide is massive, read my short stories for accounts of my achievements and see how you could benefit from this simple to use guide.
My story,
In 1999 I was serving in the forces, I was on a promotion course exercise In Germany that nearly went awry.
A friend of mine was suffering from extreme depression and anxiety, he had been told by the drill staffs that he would be on the next train back to camp if he didn’t “buck up” his ideas.
The forces was his life, but he had just split from his girlfriend 700+ miles away in England and his mother was in hospital with a serious illness.
The situation could not get any worse for him as far as he was concerned and his will to exist was in question.
Early one morning I was walking around the exercise area after a night of heavy storms and countless mosquito bites to find my friend shivering in the middle of the training ground, face down in a puddle of clay.
A picture of blank numbness came over me, later it was discovered he had been there all night, exposed to the elements.
Being mid summer it was bitterly cold in the morning and there was a light frost after the rains, I immediately diagnosed him as Hypothermic after establishing he was breathing okay and followed procedures to help him recover.
He told me he wanted me to leave him, and even tried to hit me with his rifle but he just had no energy,
I was briefed by the medical evacuation team that I might have just saved his life!
I questioned him later how he could have got this bad, he had no answer, but I knew from that day, I wanted to stop this kind of thing.
Ever since that time, I have always strived to help people wherever possible.
He healed and got better, but never fully recovered as he left the forces shortly after the event.
If you are reading this,
Hope you are better Kez.
What is this will power thing anyway?
As I was writing this title I thought it was a silly,
as surely the being reading it would not have done so first without having any idea of what the subject is.
Will power can be defined in many ways, but our unique understanding generally places it as “self motivation”
In order to understand this fully, we must appreciate what “will power” you yourself internally possess.
Firstly it must be said that you have decided to take this step and read this guide, so that in itself must be praised, thank you.
Wherever you look, will power is being used.
Whether you are trying to lose weight, get rich, healthy or stop smoking, all of these factors are governed by the same factor, “will power”
At the end of some of the chapters there will be some short exercises that you may like to complete, the choice is yours completely.
Let us break the word down briefly to its bare form, just so we can understand what we are talking about.
Will
There are many definitions of the word “will” so I have concentrated on the main meaning, which will be used onwards.
The meanings to explore at the moment are to follow.
* “the faculty of conscious and deliberate choice of action”
We need power in order to exercise our “will” so you will soon see how the words couple.
So in order to exercise our own “will” the above belief is a choice of action consciously and deliberately, but what of the unconscious acts of “will”
When we are asleep, or in a deeper state of consciousness we still “will” ourselves to do things.
We will ourselves to dream and breathe.
Our brain, and major organs are “willed” to work whilst we are not even thinking of it.
Have you ever driven on a motorway and slipped into “auto” mode for a moment?
This is a cheeky form of “will”, maybe you have been on the phone and doodled on a piece of paper, this is the same.
How many times have you heard somebody say “I’ve not go the will power” in order to put something off?
We hear stories of people that have been together for a great many number of years, yet when one of them passes on, the remaining partner becomes Nullified at the event.
Therefore any previous beliefs and routines are drastically interrupted and sometimes a literal meltdown begins, their own will becomes cloudy and misguided, this in some cases leads to their own morality ceasing.
I will not go into the physiological or medical side of these cases as I am not a doctor, nor claim to have studied the phenomenon.
Your own interests may lead you to look these issues up for yourselves, but you will first need the will.
The more probable explanation of Will seems to be,
“the act or an instance of asserting a choice”
This says it all, in a nutshell it is an “act” or an “instance” which both surmount to the same meaning.
To assert a choice we must assert ourselves mentally and physically and follow through on our wishes.
This definition is also slightly broader so really evokes thoughts of whether we need to attain a conscious state to attain our will.
The most effective way of concentrating our will is to be in a state of mind that allows us to interact with ourselves, be it consciously or sub-consciously.
I have studied many self help books, which tell us often to run before we can walk, but is it better to return to our toddler ways first, in order to learn how to walk correctly in the first place?
Power
The only worthy definition of the word power that can be related for our purposes is,
*“ability or capacity to do something”
The ability and capacity to do something is quite simply, our own internal energy involved within the purpose of will power.
Power is needed for most things, but apart from powering your TV, DVD player or mobile phone, it is raw power of the human body which is what we shall concentrate on for the purpose of this guide.
In order to attain the power, we must have the will to eat, and consume food and drink in order to convert the energy laden foods to power via energy and complex physical issues which I shall not go into here.
A measure of ability can also be related to power as this connects with will itself by wanting, requiring and needing to achieve your aims / goals.
*Definitions taken from the main Collins dictionary.
Mirror work
As soon as you wake up in the morning you should make an effort to look in the mirror and get “vain” as soon as you can.
The reason for this will be explained in a moment, but for now just remember vanity is not only beauty, but a way to reassure yourself that you are a positive person that wants to strengthen your position in life or achieve something worthwhile.
You may have looked at a bright light or the sun before and then looked away briefly only to find a kind of photograph image which would be present when you closed your eyes.
That is why it is important to do this while your eyes are just wakening and adjusting to the daylight.
- 30 seconds staring at your reflection in the mirror and say to yourself “I want to achieve “____________”
- Close your eyes for 15 seconds and see your image reflected within your mind. This technique particularly helped me to visualise words pictures and images which will be required later within the guide.
- With your fingertip on the mirror, lightly write the achievement that you want to happen.
- Close your eyes and mentally write on the mirror.
That’s it.
The more you practice the exercise the better you become, and it is important to remind yourself and reflect on your achievement wish.
If you have access to a mirror during the day you can repeat this exercise almost all day until you drive yourself mad. (Not advised)
Visualisation
The purpose of visualisation is important within this book as most of the tasks are designed with this factor in mind.
The last exercise is not just an exercise for your will power, it is also a tool devised to help you to visualise images and words within your mind.
Another way of helping you to visualise if you find it difficult is to mentally take a photograph during the day of objects around your area.
The technique is similar to day dreaming or Mirror work from the last chapter.
You only need to stare at an object long enough to embed it within your mind.
You may open and close your eyes like a camera shutter if it helps, this will subconsciously probably make you laugh too!
The virtual blackboard and chalk are great tools to imagine words and images, it should be used above all other methods as this proves to be the most effective way of communicating with yourself.
If you find it difficult to visualise then these exercises are at first recommended before you continue with the other tasks.
Steps to be completed before all visualisation tasks
Self moment
- Get comfortable (not in a moving vehicle)
- Close your eyes.
- Count backwards from 100 to 0
- Write your name and the date and your goal at the top of your virtual blackboard.
- Carry out details of exercise.
Envelope task
You will need,
- Pen
- Paper or template (Below)
- Envelope
- 2-6 Minutes to fill out table
- Fill out the table with as many or as little wishes as you want.
- Read through the table and commit it to your mental memory.
- Fold and place in an envelope under your pillow.
What you want to achieve
What you believe is stopping you from achieving this
How you intend to face the issue
What time scale will you need
Leave envelope for a full day then revise, add or take away the goals that you wish to attain.
Continue this process until you feel that you have significant progress.
Before long you will notice that you are concentrating your energy into these wishes, and hopefully you will notice changes, sometimes within the first few days.

Confused?
I couldn’t name it any other way so,
Virtual Will Power by the way of the Mental Sword
Now you will learn the art of mental fencing as described above.
The importance of the title is another tool at your disposal, which you will also find useful with other applications, relating to Will Power.
So, you have got a smoking habit that you wish to ease?
I will pick on the smokers, as I was once one myself and will now try to prove how this method works.
The best time to do this is after you have completed the Envelope task.
You will need
- Time
+Note. This following procedure allows the use of mental violence, this is not an acceptance that violence is a good thing, merely a tool to use within our own private thoughts and mind exercises.
Maybe you could check the bottom of the page for a substitute tool.
- Get comfortable (not in a moving vehicle)
- Close your eyes.
- Count backwards from 100 to 0
- Write your name and the date and your goal at the top of your virtual blackboard.
- Visualise the problem in your way, (I saw a burning cigarette), you could even write the word within your picture, or just the image of a cigarette packet.
- Now see your virtual sword.
- Look how ugly the cigarette is, explain to the cigarette that you do mean to harm it and explain what you will achieve in doing so.
- Take a swipe and literally be rather violent to the obstacle within you way.
- Repeat this until you are no longer bothered by the image.
- Repeat exercise every night until you feel better.
+The substitute to the Sword is the sponge hammer.
Please replace the sword with the sponge hammer if it is people that you intend to “influence” within your visualisation tasks.
Thank you.
My story
After completing these exercises for a week, I woke one morning and never had the urge for nicotine again.
I am not suggesting a miracle cure, but belief in what is achievable, I told myself that I wanted to stop smoking, I reinforced the view with the mental sword exercise.
I stopped smoking.
I have been smoke free now for 24 months and counting and yet never had the urge to smoke either!
End note
I am no doctor or Psychologist but these methods worked for me.
Try at your own risk, as I accept no responsibility for the reader, thanks.
