JUST a little drift today from the usual stories. This time we will be looking at beauty in its totality. I mean from head to toe.

I am sure you know beauty is not just the clothes worn or the colours that make up the face but everything that constitutes beauty. Anyway, have you taken note in the difference of some women’s beauty? Well of course some are gifted (as in naturally endowed) while some just need to work it out, even those who are gifted still need to garnish it if you like. All we know and look out for at the end of the day is that people turn out to be very beautiful.

Have you wondered why you would say ‘whaoh!’ at the sight of your fellow woman? Have you also answered such questions like: How did she do this? What cream? Soap or… Not to worry! It is simply because women who are fashion freaks go the extra mile to make themselves look simply gorgeous and different from the norm so much that when they step out, you’ll agree with them that looking good is a good business indeed!

However, to you who have been asking such questions as above, there is an answer for you here, you just grab and make good use of it…that is…if you like. But mind you, there are some things to be done in order for your beauty to flow from the inside as we will see below.

Our bodies constantly lose water, when we sweat, exercise and go to the bathroom… I mean when we pee too, we lose water so we need to replace it accordingly.

Drinking water is so much important for good health as well as freshing to the skin. When you were a kid, you learned that each molecule of water is made up of two hydrogen and oxygen atoms. You may also have learned that it was great fun to fill up your squirt guns with water at least, but what you may not have heard however, is how much of this water you need in order to be a healthy human being.

Your body is estimated to be about 60-70 per cent water. Blood is mostly water and your muscles, lungs and brains all contain lots of water, so the body needs water to properly regulate body temperature and to provide the means for nutrients result to travel to all your organs.

How much water you need

A good estimate is to take your body weight in pounds and divide that number in half. That gives you the number of ounces of water per day that you need to drink. Example, if you weigh 160 pounds you should drink at least 80 pounds of water per day. If you exercise, then you should drink another eight-ounce glass of water for every 20 minutes you are active. Also, if you drink alcohol, at least you should drink an equal amount of water.

Why we need it

Water is necessary. You need it for rehydration. It helps to transport oxygen to your cells, remove wastes and protects your joints and organs. Water also facilitates healing eg headache etc. We can also enrich our bodies with egg at least it contains 74 per cent water, tomato, and water melon which are 95 per cent and 92 per cent respectively.

Contrarily, one must be meticulous because the same water in excess can lead to flushing out your elecrolites which can cause host of problems like muscle cramping etc. It can also add to bloating and can lead to high blood pressure etc.

Secondly, you need to keep things moving. I am sure you are wondering what things, well am talking about the bowel. Being constipated is one of the worst things that could happen to you. Allow things move by eating lots of high fibre foods like whole grains, fruits and vegetables rather than allowing waste to accumulate. You know how discomforting that could be.

What about breaking sweat? We must break sweat by exercising regularly, this improves your circulation and that means more nourishment for your skin cells. A lot of us have left this for the men only. Well! It is not exercise, but what it contributes to body building. We need it, as much as they do. I am not saying we should be hard on it anyway, just need it burn fat, relax nerves and relieve all twisted joints and be light.

While we are doing that, we should also check bad habits. Some women have chosen to compete and become men, they smoke, drink alchohol or have a special place in their heart for junk food. Do you want a great skin? Cutting down your consumption of these or completely quitting will boost your chance. Even something like too much caffeine can have a seriously negative effect on your skin.

As a mother you need lots of rest and a time to refresh due to your nature. What I mean is you need to sleep more. It is true that if you are not getting at least 7-8 hours of rest every night, your skin is probably not the best it could be. Do yourself good by eating well. If 50-70 per cent of your diet is made up of fruits and vegetables, you can guarantee that your skin will be divine.

Smooth skin

For shining skin and more attraction, especially on your face, use Avocado. Avocado is very rich in vitamins A,B,D, and E. Mash the Avocado pear and apply on the face. Leave dry, then rinse off with plenty of water. You will be amazed at the result. You can also get rid of pimples on your face and body.

All you need do, is mix camwood and black soap in a little water and add honey. When you have achieved a smooth paste, add more water. Let the mixture be watery, put some on your palm, rub on your face and neck, leave for two minutes and rinse. Towel dry and apply squeezed lemon juice for about 2 minutes also, then rinse, and apply little moisturizer or shea butter.

Are you palms hard?

Here, mix an egg with almond powder thoroughly. Spread the paste on your hand. Cover with big plastic gloves for the paste to soak in, then rinse off in the morning with lukewarm water. This will make your hands smooth, softer and firm. Try it out and stop wondering what magic it is.

Stretch marks?

Deal with them by using half of a cup of virgin oil, one-fourth of a cup of aloe vera gel. Liquid from 6 capsules of vitamin E and 4 capsules of vitamin A. Mix all ingredients together into a blender. You can store it in the refrigerator if you like. Then apply the oil externally over the places where the stretch marks commonly appear (abdomen, hips, thighs and breasts) do this consistenly everyday and prevent stretch marks.

Do you make up? This may interest you. Stick to a particular make up at least for a while. Some women use too many different make up at a time. If it is Mary Kay then stick to it for a while or black oparl any name or whatever you use. This will help you determine what your skin needs and responds to. However, if you are a light skinned babe, peach and subtle gold will be okay. For dark skinned ladies, rich or violet and chocolate won’t be bad. Learn to apply eye liner to the upper lids and if desired very lightly to the lower lids.

For healthy and fresh hair

Try eucalyptus oil. A healthy and beautiful hair can be ensured by applying eucalyptus oil. Just oil your scalp with a cotton ball, then tie your hair with a clean towel, dipped in warm water for 15 minutes.

Shampoo the hair and rinse with warm water. Cultivate the habit of eating fruits, enough vegetables and protein in your diet ensures growth of healthy hair.

Hair care needs essential fatty acids. If the right methods are followed, undoubtedly you will be able to flaunt your healthy hair. These are mere tips that will make you glow, you can also do some on your own.
