Home Spa Simple Pleasures – Hand and Foot Reflexology

Bring out the candles, play some soft music, and indulge in inexpensive spa treatments you can do right at home.

If you want maximum relaxation, don’t forget the scented massage oil.

Treat Your Hand

1.  Using upward movements from the wrist to the elbow, stroke your arm with your other hand.

2.  Still going up from wrist to elbow, apply pressure to your arm using your thumb. Then turn your wrist in circles.

3.  Massage the back of your hand with circular movements. Use your thumb, and apply a little bit of pressure moving from base of fingers to wrist. Do the same to the palm.

4.  With your thumb and index finger, gently press the fleshy areas of your fingers between the joints. You can even hold each finger, move it in circular motions, then pull.

5.  Do the same with your other arm and hand.

Treat Your Feet

1.  With your index finger and thumb, massage your knee.

2.  Using both hands, massage your leg from the ankle to the knees with alternating upward strokes.

3.  With your thumbs, you can apply pressure to the area using circular motions.

4.  Turn your ankle in circles.

5.  Start massaging the soles of your feet, going from the heel to the toes. Use your thumbs to apply pressure. Don’t forget to massage the upper part of your feet.

6.  Gently press the fleshy areas of each toe. Don’t forget your toe tips! As you did with your fingers, hold each toe, move in circular motions, then pull.

7.  Go back to the lower leg and do some more massage work.

8.  Do the same to the other leg.
