A facial wash of honey and cinnamon powder, recommended for people with acne-prone skin.
Being concerned about my somewhat pimple-infested cheeks, my dad encouraged me to try it. After a month of regular use, I noticed that I got fewer pimples and stopped having breakouts. I rarely had two pimples come out at the same time. After a few more weeks, I noticed that my dark spots had gone, too.
A lot of my friends were encouraged to try it, and some have reported that they got the same results as I did. I’m sharing this so other girls out there would know about this cool homemade facial scrub.
The instructions were to make a paste by mixing the honey and cinnamon powder (which can be bought usually in grocery stores) in a cup, bowl, or any container with a lid and then applied on the face or any area where you want the pimples cleared up, leaving it on overnight. But since that would be quite impractical, I decided to us it as an everyday facial wash.
There is no exact measurement for the ingredients. Just mix until you it gets paste-y enough. The solution has a hot, stinging effect on the face when first applied, especially if it contains more cinnamon powder. You can wash your face with it everyday, anytime you want—after you shower, before sleeping, etc. It can be used more than once a day. You can leave it on for a few minutes, unless the burning sensation is too intense for you. But anyway, that feeling lessens the more often you use the scrub. Also, regular and prolonged usage of the solution makes it more effective. It penetrates deep into the skin, to the roots of the pimple, not just the surface.
The honey-cinnamon facial scrub is a solution, not a cure. Let nature take its course in clearing up your skin. Be patient and gentle.
