How to Avoid Getting Pimples

Pimples, as some people say, are a part of life that most of us will experience. However it is always not a good thing to wake up in the morning to see those zits lined up on your face. It’s a sure way to ruin anyone’s day.

Getting rid of pimples is not that easy and usually, people are not well informed enough on how to do it properly. So what happens? They cause more problems instead of solving their acne predicament by doing things their own way.

However, just like what they say, prevention is a hundred times better than the cure. Oftentimes it is easier to prevent pimples from even happening or at least from worsening if you will just follow these hygienic steps:

1. Wash your face with a mild soap or facial cleanser.

Most bath soaps are too strong for our skin, especially for our face, that by using them you are actually doing more harm than good. Choose a facial cleanser or a soap that is very mild so as not to irritate your skin. Also, stay away from scented soaps and those that have too much chemical ingredients that you can’t even spell their names.

2. Do not wash your face often.

Some people think that by washing their face more than twice a day, they are completely cleaning their skin and thus preventing any breakouts or acne problems. This is wrong. Our skin releases natural oils that help moisturize it as well as nourish it. If you wash your face more than twice a day, you are taking away these essential oils and denying your skin of its natural moisturizer.

3. Lessen your time cooking using oils.

While this is not yet a hundred percent proven, however it is generally observed that people who are usually cooking in the kitchen especially deep frying are more prone to getting pimples. Just to be on  the safe side, stay away from those boiling vats of oil.

4. Eat a well-balanced diet.

Food plays a great deal in keeping a healthy skin, one that is pimple-free. Make sure that your meal is composed of colorful ingrediets: fruits and vegetables. This will ensure that your body will be getting the right amount of nutrients as well as vitamins and minerals to keep it healthy. And you know what they say, a healthy body is mirrored through its healthy skin.

5. Avoid too much make up.

Some make ups are just too harsh for the skin that they should not be left on for a long time. As soon as you get off, wipe off any traces of your make up and afterwards use a toner or at least a cleanser.
