Tips in Getting Away with Irritating Pimples

How to get rid of pimples.

We abhor their presence. Yet we couldn’t stop them from sprouting in our delicate faces. They are these small pointed elevations of the skin that may or may not contain pus (yellowish fluid). Their formation is frequently associated with infections, irritation or over activity of the sebaceous and sweat glands. We do everything just to get rid of these little red sprouts from squeezing it to applying cleansers, creams moisturizers and astringents, even indulging to expensive cosmetics surgeries. Dermatologists are also there fro further assistance.

But as time goes by, some writer like me who are compromised with hectic and fully booked schedules already find no more time obscuring our zits. Besides, treating them not only cause time but also money for as we all know, cosmetic products are quite costly. However, there are ways to keep these zits from appearing. These are more convenient and fit to busy people like me and perhaps students like you too. After all, we still need to look good in going to work, school or attending other appointments, right? So why don’t you take a look on these following tips and give it a try?

  •  Don’t ever pinch, squeeze or pick a pimple. This will only cause it to become red and inflamed. The bacteria and oils that caused the pimple might also spread to other parts of your face. It can also lead to scars…scary huh?!
  • Every 30 minutes, apply an ice pack to the pimple. And hold it there for about two minutes. This will decrease the swelling and redness and help shrink  the inflammation and pain that sometimes come along with it.
  • Cover the pimple with a light dose of flesh-tinted concealer. It can help you mask the zit.
  • Cleanse you skin 2-3 times a day with a mild, unscented soap or a specialized acne as Lye. Then scrub skin gently with an exfoliating pad or wash cloth. (NOTE: Don’t rub hard, otherwise you’ll sap your skin’s natural oils, which help repel buildup naturally.)
  • Apply a cream or ointment containing Benzyl Peroxide or Salicylic acid to the blemish or around the entire facial area. (WARNING! These ingredients both have a tendency to dry out skin id used too much and are not recommended for sensitive skin.)
  • (For girls) Wear oil-free makeup whenever possible. Why? Because according to the experts, these types have less of tendency to cause the pore buildup that would result to blemishes. It’s also a MUST to remove your makeup at night and cleanse it with an acne-fighting medicine to remove dirt, oil and makeup from deep within the skin.
    • (For those who are in need of a quick fix) Press and hold a wet tea bag or a cotton ball with a dab of lemon juice against the blemish for five minutes. Alternative: apply a dab of toothpaste on the affected area right before bedtime.

There you have it. But aside from those, I also discovered another remedy in combating pimples. This one is quite fascinating…

  •  Pop your pimple. Fill a tub of ¼ water and pour about a half of salt to the water. Take a cotton ball and soak it in the salty water for about 30 seconds, moving it in the water. Take it out and squeeze out the water. Apply the cotton ball to the pimple for about 3 minutes. After that, do not wash you face. Take some honey and drop it on the zit and leave it for 15 minutes. Then after that, rinse it off. Apply a dab of toothpaste on it and leave overnight.

Quite odd isn’t it? Well, that wraps up everything. I hope these tips will help you lessen your burden with those little zits. There’s nothing wrong in following these tips. Chances are big that these will work. You’ll never know, these tips might be the answer to your problem.
