Alzheimer’s dementia is a slowly progressive fatal disease and one of the most common types of debilitating disorder that mainly affects the elderly people. The number of people affected by this disease increases progressively day by day. The disease has no cure and currently it has no drugs that can reverse or slow down the course of the disease and the only factor that can be helpful is to determine the causes of the disease. The affected people must be provided a proper care either at a home or a nursing home or a live-in residence as the person will be disabled and needs help to perform normal routine activities like bathing, walking, standing, eating and so on. Hence an Alzheimer’s patient can prefer any of these basic four types of care facilities mainly at residential care homes, assisted living, Alzheimer care facilities and at nursing homes.
