Five Tricks to Control Your Appetite
These days, we’re being bombarded by commercials on salty snacks and processed food or decadent desserts. We seen the ads on TV,in magazines and even on the street. Trying to eat a healthy diet is hard, but not impossible. Maybe these tips could help you!
- Eat protein and fiber
That’s the ideal combination because the fibers absorbs water keeps you full. The proteins are also harder to digest than carbohydrates or fats and you will feel satiated for hours.
You should therefore choose foods that contain these both compounds, such as beans or whole grains. - Love vegetables Besides peas, corn or potato, vegetables do not contain many calories, and have a high water content and fiber, so you have chances to feel satiated very quickly without eating too much.
- Anticipate your cravings
If you feel cravings daily at around 3 pm, for example, the chances are that this desire will come next days or even weeks are very big, regardless of your decision to start eating healthy. So prepare a healthy snack with nuts or cheese, rich in protein, or a fruit or a vegetable that you can eat instead of junk food. - Eat at home before going out
If you are serious in terms of healthy eating, a dinner in town can be a challenge. Even if you’re not hungry before you go out chances are that the smell from the restaurant and the dishes will awaken your appetite with all the chances that you order something inappropriate or eat excessively. Eat before leaving home a handful of nuts or peanuts (that are not salted), and protein will cut your appetite, helping you to resist food that isn’t that good for your health. - Be ambitious
Diets primarily mean having a lot will. You need to resist to all temptations you might see, feel or hear. If you feel that you are about to give up, go for a walk, go to your friend, read a book or make anything that makes you feel happy and accomplished.
