8 Tips to Avoid Contracting Flu
Flu makes you feel very sick. Here are some natural ways to help you from contracting flu.
Flu or its scientific name influenza, is a contagious respiratory illnesses caused by a number of viruses. The viruses spread through the air and enter our body through our nose or mouth. Body or muscles aches, chills, coughing, sneezing, and fever; vomiting, headache and sore throat are some of the common symptoms of flu infections. People older than 65, young children and babies under age 5, and people with certain health conditions such as diabetes and asthma, are prone to have a risk of contracting flu.
Here are some helpful tips:
- Eat more vegetables, especially leafy ones which are rich in vitamin C
- Take vitamin C daily
- Also take multivitamins daily because they contain high concentration of vitamin C as well as spirulina
- Drink liquid chlorophyll and green tea every day
- Red wine if drunk in moderation contains anti-oxidants that are rich in vitamin C
- Exercise daily for 30-40 minutes
- Eat lots of fruit especially citrus fruits such as imported and local oranges and lemon as well as mangoes; they are rich in vitamin C
- Avoid drinking anything cold
