Some have malaria, some have influenza and some have typhoid. Some patients are suffering from skin disease, while others are complaining of the loss of appetite.

He receives each patient by turn, checks him cautiously. He has to see many atrocious sights of accidents and deaths with full control over his nerves. In the operation theatre a doctor’s time is very significant. He has to be very fast and skilful at the time of operation.

A doctor makes no difference between one patient and another. His room is always packed to capacity with all kinds of patients. There are men, women and children; rich and poor old and young; carpenters and blacksmiths; businessman and brokers; teachers and hawkers; millionaires and moneyless – all are taken care of evenly. He is polite to every one.

A doctor’s life is not of an ease and placate. It is not only an issue of his daily duties to treat the patients but also he is an enthusiastic scholar of medical science. He maintains himself in contact with new studies and inventions. A first-rate doctor at all times maintains his information bright. It boosts his competence and self-confidence.

In short, a doctor is a dependable person. His occupation is a sacrosanct one which involves profound duties and requires sacrifice. It should not be reckoned that the intent of a doctor’s life is merely to make wealth by indicting high fees for his services rather he should be polite, compassionate and well outfitted with up to date information and expertise.
