Allergies: The Flu, The Cold, The Cough and The Stomach Virus

Flu it can be deadly, is serious to children, teenagers, youths and the elderly. There are very rare cases of deaths, excluding Mexico with its first outbreak, these days there are precautions and preventions and better health care for all. When people touch a person – that is infected, contaminated with flu germs and then touch their eyes, nose, or mouth, they infect themselves with the flu virus. A virus that infects the nose, throat, and lungs causes flu. Have a nutritious diet, drink plenty of fluids, get enough sleep to feel well-rested, and have time for relaxation and regular exercise. Keeping your immune system healthy is important in preventing the flu and other illnesses.

 Prevention: the essential key to flu prevention is get a flu shot for you and your family and make sure those around you are immunized against flu so this viral infection does not spread. Prevention is always better than “Cure” make sure children age 6 months to 18 years and all adults age 50 and older get flu shot. You need to sit with family members and talk about healthy hygiene habits.

 Side effects from Flu Shot:Most of the time, there are no side effects from the flu shot. After all, the flu shot is made from killed/dead viruses — not live ones. Some people may experience some mild vaccine side effects such as a low-grade fever, archness, or a slight runny nose after getting flu shot. Talk to your doctor to see if you might be at risk for this rare problem.

 Kitchen Cleanliness very important:The kitchen sink and counter tops are laden with food-borne pathogens that linger from the preparation of food — raw meat, poultry, shellfish, raw eggs, and dirty fruits and vegetables. When you add in dirty dishes, unclean knives, the kitchen sponge, and cutting board, perhaps you see how illnesses are easily spread. Clean your kitchen sink and counter tops by scrubbing them frequently with warm soapy water and then wiping them with a disinfecting bleach solution. Bleach is a cheap disinfectant and also highly effective in killing most bacteria.
