Ginger- The Natural Anti-inflammatory
Ginger is very much known for its anti-inflammatory effects. A compound called gingerol, which is produced or derived from ginger has strong anti-inflammatory properties. This compound helps to reduce the pain of osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis and improves the mobility of the people suffering from these diseases. In addition, ginger is also quite effective in reducing the swelling of the knees. Peroxynitrites is powerful oxidant, often responsible for inflammatory diseases. High concentrations of peroxynitrites can be harmful for the body. But antioxidant properties of ginger prevents and reduces the production of peroxynitrites, thus protects the body from anti-inflammatory diseases.
Anti-inflammatory activities or properties of the herb are also helpful to reduce the risk of inflammation-induced malignancy. Because cancer is associated with inflammation or inflammatory process, ginger is a good remedy to reduce the risk of cancer.
Ginger is very much safe and has no serious side effects. It is not only good for the treatment for arthritis and other inflammatory conditions but it is also very useful for the treatment of gastrointestinal conditions and heart problems.
