Bronchitis is an Inflammation and a Viral Respiratory Infection

Bronchitis is a common problem affecting 15to 30 percent of all adults and youths. It starts with a tiny tickle deep in your chest; it turns your face like shades of red and leaves you gasping for breath. The coughs just keep coming back. To some the problem may clear up within a week of two, known as the short-term bronchitis, and on the other hand a chronic long-term bronchitis which can stretch for a longer period of time, caused by airborne irritants, such as cigarette smoke, dust or air pollutants. Drink plenty of water staying well hydrated.


The symptoms of bronchitis:  three most common signs and symptoms of bronchitis coughing, wheezing, runny nose and running a fever?   The condition of Acute bronchitis often occurs during the winter months when people spend more time indoors, and is mostly is caused by a virus. Usually last for about 7 – 10 days and for some it can be weeks or months.  Chicken soups: best of all is chicken soup with ½ onion,  2 cloves crushed garlic, ¼ crushed ginger, 4 seeds crushed  black pepper, seasoning,  with ¼ teaspoon of olive oil. Chicken soup helps break up the congestion and will help you get relief faster.

 Hot Fluids:  Sip hot water, hot tea or herbal tea for the best results.
 Milk with Turmeric: Boil a glass of milk, add a pinch of Turmeric and honey, drink it while it is hot before bedtime has natural antibiotic reaction and helps inflammation in throat and stomach, very helpful against stomach virus and it helps break up the congestion

Sweet and Sour: Stir fry vegetables, with onions, ginger, garlic and red bell peppers, with ½ tea spoon all season seasoning. ¼ teaspoon turmeric and 1/2 teaspoon honey – gives a antibiotic base for the taste and helpful reaction
 Over-the-counter:  cold remedies that contain expectorants and other ingredients. For all OTC medicines and remedies you may seek advice from the pharmacist. The pharmacist can help you choose the one that will work best for your symptoms.
 Hydrotherapy: to loosen chest congestion, try hot compresses, rub Vick’s on your chest, than lay a hot towel over a dry towel on your chest. Leave in place for about five minutes, and repeat for three changes of the hot towel. Repeat the entire procedure every two hours
 Massage: massaging your chest and back with Vick’s can help break up congestion in your lungs
