Could Cranberries Save Your Life?

According to some research, the answer is yes.

Allegedly, cranberries are good for preventing uti’s, but according to one study, they may help heal atherosclerosis. As I am not a medical professional, please note that what is written here is no substitute for professional medical advice.

I am simply writing about some of the internet research I have done on this subject. I also drink cranberry juice consistently myself, so I am practicing what I preach. Still though, the best defense against atherosclerosis is not to get it in the 1st place.

As a final note, there are several risk factors for atherosclerosis, Smokers and those with a family history are at greater risk, but don’t think that just because you don’t smoke or have a family history that you are invincible or immune. Atherosclerosis is caused by plaque build up in the arteries, so factors such as cholesterol also play a role.

Eat, drink, but be healthy

  1. Cranberries are high in antioxidents and vitamin C also.

  2. Well, cranberry in itself may not save my life but it sure will help in that direction and I love cranberry and eat and drink my share. Good advice here. Well written.
