Dealing with Sore Eyes
Tips for sore eyes…
Inflammation of the eyelids, usually affects both eyes, with stickiness, crusting, soreness and sometimes flaking of the skin. It an be hard to get rid of permanently, this tends to come and go in cycles. This routine can be used twice a day when your eyelids are inflamed, and at least once a day, in the longer term to prevent recurrence.
Dilute a small amount of baby shampoo in a clean saucer of boiled, cooled water, dip a cotton bud into the mixture and squeeze out excess liquid to prevent potentially irritating drips getting into your eyes. Rub the bud gently, but, firmly along the edge of one eyelid. Use a fresh bud for the other eye.
Clean off any crusts, at the base of your eyelashes, then wash off with water, and, a clean flannel. Avoid sharing flannels and towels, in case a bacterial or fungal infection is at the root of your problem.
Avoid make-up if possible, especially mascara, which can block the follicles.
