Epidemic

There are many reasons for the rapidly spreading AIDS epidemic. One reason is lack of surrender to education. There is more than enough information on how AIDS is spread, but for reasons none other than fear people choose to ignore it. Another cause is people thinking that it can’t happen to them. Some individuals being young think that they are invincible. Third, is the careless attitude by refusal to use a condom. No one can really be sure of who their partner has been with before them. But the biggest mistake of all is not getting tested. Most people do not get tested as for fear of the results. To be quite frank, it’s irresponsible not to get tested. You owe it to yourself and the people around you. Knowledge truly is power. Think how many lives will be saved if just 2 out of every 5 persons decided to get tested every day. In the situation of the AIDS epidemic courage is not optional, it’s a requirement. What is there to lose? Only your life.
