People who take more of the soft drinks and fruit juices are liable to develop Type 2 diabetes at the earliest. As Fructose directly affects the brain than the other sugars, Fructose is more dangerous than other forms of sugars.

There are many dangers with fructose. This sugar increases the appetite, which tempts you to eat more. This means more fats are added to the body, which may lead to obesity and Type 2 diabetes.

It has also been noted that Fructose decreases the amount of minerals that are needed for the production of insulin. It also blocks the secretion of insulin, which is needed for storing sugar in the muscles.

One should have to be very careful when going for packaged and processed foods. Fructose is an added content in all these processed and packaged foods. Though the label may say “no added sugars”, it does not talk of fructose. Well, always be aware of using these packaged and processed foods.

The world is becoming more obese and diabetic. One of the reasons attributed to the increase of obese and diabetic people is unhealthy life style. There is a great tendency among the younger generation to use more processed food, soft drinks and fruit juices. These people are at a higher risk of developing Type 2 diabetes and obesity.
