Certain medication may cause dryness in the mouth. People who have been prescribed with medication for high blood pressure and depression has a possibility of bad breath. Take note! If you take these medications, there is a chance that you may have bad breath.

Alcohol and coffee are also leading factors which contributes to dry mouth and bad breath.

You may think that mouth rinse can help to keep your bad breath at bay. However, take note of the different types of mouth rinse. Mouth rinse that contain alcohol can equally dry up the mouth and make your breath smell terrible.

If your job requires you to talk a lot such as teachers and speakers, your mouth can dry up very quickly, giving you bad breath. That applies to gossipers!

Apart from the fact that smoking is bad for your health, smoking also causes you to have bad breath. So, stop smoking!

Avoid alcohol and coffee
Avoid alcohol and coffee as far as possible, at least reduce your intake if you can’t live without them. Instead, drink lots of plain water to stimulate your saliva.

Use an alcohol-free mouth rinse
When buying mouth rinse, ensure that it is alcohol-free since alcohol causes the mouth to dry up.

Drink water
Drink lots of water, at least 6 to 8 glasses of water is recommended, to keep your mouth from getting dry.

Eat saliva-stimulating food
Food such as watermelon and celery can help to stimulate saliva, preventing your mouth from getting dry, eliminating bad breath.

Eat breakfast
Don’t skip breakfast! Some people arrive at the office with foul breath because they had not had breakfast. There is nothing to stimulate the saliva in the morning. So, make sure you have a bite before you leave for work in the morning.

Well written article. I know that soem stomach conditions and phlem can give bad breath!!
