How to Get a Good Night Sleep
Have you felt you haven’t had a good night’s sleep in a long time? You could be sleep deprived. Many of us believe that their work suffers because of reduced sleep. A healthy dose of eight hours of sleep at night is not only important for your work but also is good for your overall well-being and weight loss goals.

Check out these points:
- Importance of The Good Night Sleep: A good night sleep works likes miracle cure. The advantages of a good sleep are endless; for example it boosts your brain power, restores hormonal balance and keeps your heart healthy. The lack of it can create trouble for your heart and mind. Besides improving heart health, sleep also helps the body to regenerate organ- especially the brain. Extended sleeplessness may lead to neuron malfunction & affect your behavior. Reduced sleep even had a negative impact on memory. Go to bed early to enjoy a good sleep and have enough Zzzzz.
- Increase Intake of Tryptophan: Make sure to eat Tryptophan-rich foods for deep sleep. It is an amino acid that helps in making serotonin and the sleep hormone melatonin. Your meal options could be: whole grains such as oats, barley and wheat; dairy products including cottage cheese, cheese and milk. Soya products such as soya milk, tofu and soya nuggets, sea food and poultry especially turkey are also good sources of Tryptophan. The list also includes lentils, nuts, banana and leafy greens. Caution: Don’t take any drug of Tryptophan supplement without consulting a medical practitioner.

Excellent and informative. I need to come back to this one. Sometimes I just toss and turn in bed for hours and by the time I fall asleep I have to wake up. lol. Great list of foods to promote sleep.

Wow, that is very interesting, perhaps a slice of tofu before bedding down, will help me get a deep rested sleep. I don’t have trouble falling asleep, or sleeping through the night, but I just don’t feel re-energized.
