How to Get a Restful Sleep

Sleep disorders may be assuaged by using blue.

Having difficulty sleeping? Sleep disorders can have many origins. Sleep disorders may be caused by chronic pain or sadness, among other things.

Sleep disorders can be alleviated using natural remedies. One source of assistance for sleep disorders comes in the form of the color blue.

Blue has a relaxing effect and lowers blood pressure.

Sleep disorders may be assuaged by using blue because the wavelength of the color blue stimulates the pituitary gland, which is responsible for regulating sleep.

Sleep disorders can have many sources. Circadian rhythm disorders are disruptions in a person’s natural biological rhythms and affect things like their body temperature, attentiveness and sleep rhythm. Many people suffer from circadian related disruptions to their natural sleep cycle and wonder what they can do besides taking pills in order to fall asleep and rest well. Some people who are on the path to overcoming chronic pain may be reluctant to take sleeping pills.

Using a blue light in the bedroom will help with sleep disorders. Blue light therapy systems were developed and have been used by NASA to help regulate the sleep pattern of astronauts.

NASA used these systems in preparation for long distance space travel. They’ve been tried, experimented with and proven to work. You don’t have to be an astronaut to profit.

If you want to buy a blue light to help yourself snooze, but not just any old blue light, you can try the light bulb developed by Verilux.

The Verilux lighting system gives out blue light exactly in the 460nm range(nm measures the light frequency) and is good for even young children who have difficulty falling asleep.

Also use blue in the bedroom shades. That will promote a more relaxing sleep.

Your sheets, and bedroom curtains, ground rugs, etc can be blue. You can even do your bedroom in a maritime theme. Hang a painting, or place an article in the room that reminds you of the sea.

You might think too much blue overwhelming, especially if it really isn’t your favorite color and you just want healthier sleep.

If so, use the blue with a tint that complements it. Brown fits really well with blue.

Brown helps to produce rich, warm texture that goes well with the calming effect of the blue. Picture yourself coming home after a hard day’s work to a bedroom attractively decorated in those two colors!!!
