How to Protect Yourself From the Swine Flu

Scientifically proven tips to help you survive the Swine Flu or H1N1 Influenza. The truth behind whether this disease is deadly or not and all you need to know.

Believe it or not the ‘Swine Flu’ is actually not as deadly as you were told. The mortality rate from contracting the disease is just as low as the common normal flu which actually at the moment kills more people than the swine flu.

But why does the media portray the ‘Swine Flu’ as dangerous? The media is over sensationalizing the current threat of the ‘Swine Flu’.

Even though the ‘World Health Organization’ (WHO) has listed the ‘Swine Flu or the H1N1 Influenza’ as category 6 which is a pandemic. Which according to WHO means “a worldwide epidemic; a new virus which the populations will have no immunity”. But that does not mean half the world will die, the mortality rate is incredibly low and is quite similar to the common flu.

But the real danger lies behind the mutation of the H1N1 influenza into a potentially lethal strand of H5N1 which will wipe out a good majority of the population in the world. (Which has an incredibly high mortality rate). Once you contract it, you have a pretty high chance you will die.

The mutation occurs inside the hosts body, which reproduces in the blood stream and lungs; then infects others through the host respirating out the virus into the air into a new human host and so on (which the majority of the world aren’t immune to). If one of them enters through the victims mouth, eyes or nose, they will have no immunity against and it will start reproducing eventually infecting the victim.

But how can you protect yourself from the ‘Swine Flu’?

The first thought that would have popped into your mind are: MEDICAL MASKS.

WRONG.

Medical masks is not scientifically proven to protect you from the Swine Flu.

They are to minimize the transfer of the virus of an infect person into the air through respiration.

Here are some true tips to help protect you from the virus.

1. Stock up on food and supplies (Isolation is the only prevention). Buy tinned cans which lasts a fair while, don’t forget a can opener. Buy powdered milk, cereals, dehydrated vegetables ect.

2. If you need to go shopping, shop just before the supermarket closes, normally there are heaps less people shopping at the time, especially when the ‘Swine Flu’ is in the area.

3. Wear a mask – Even though it is not scientifically prove to protect you, precautions for a deadly virus are neccessary

4. Avoid public spaces, isolate yourself until the virus dies down.

5. Wash your hands as frequently as you can and avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth.

6. Put some extra cushions on your couch, you will be there for a while.

7. Lock up doors, windows, use the air con. If one virus happens to be traveling in the air after someone sneezed at the front of your house which blows into your house, and you happen to breathe it in. You have contracted the Swine Flu.

Keep updated on the news, antibodies to fight the swine flu will be developed soon. Vaccines will be prepared in mass demand.
