Statistics
MND is an adults disease and is very uncommon to form in people under the age of 30. In 2006, 1300 people suffered from MND. MND kills a large number of people. How it Impairs the Body
MND attacks the motor neurons in the brain and spine (the neurons that control our movements). Because of this, MND sufferers do not use their muscles as much and the muscle cells waste away so it makes it harder to move.
