I have a family member that has displayed Munchousen symtoms for years & it has now developed into Munchousen by proxy. In other words the parent first had munchousen, then it was carried over unto her two children. An other family member who is an RN, has worked with pych. patients has done a history on this diease and found that everything matches as far as systoms goes. Both she & I feel her oldest son of 12-13 is on the verge of becoming another Culingbine High School Shooter due to his many systoms he now displays. Why on earth can’t legal officials get involved to help these kinds of people by intituting phyciatric help for the parent/s as well as the children without having to have to take the children away from the parents. I have included this parents illness in my book being written. This is a very sad diease and family members refuse to get involved. As the old saying goes, “The conspericy of silence prevents healing”. This goes for everyone who knows the truth but are unwilling to get involved.

It’s hard to suspect a mother to suffer on her children this syndrome but I’ve observed a mother who fits the criteria. The hardest part is the deniaL of the perpitrator as well as family members who do not want to get involved. That’s how they get away with it and it’s sad to watch. There doen’t seem to be a point that I myself and an outsider should try to protect those children but I’m failing them too

It happened in my family and cost me my marriage. I had to leave to save my own. There are others dead or deformed for life. People need to know about this.

Hello Brian,

I hope that you, your wife and your child are still together and this misdiagnose has been corrected. I wasn’t so lucky and the CPS took my child, without any proof and now there’s a pending trial and they have to proof that I’ve got this illness. I don’t see how they’re going to do that since there simply is none! Since my children have the same illness that I do (and many other members of my family on both sides), a social worker decided that this was somehow not possible and that I was lying – although doctors have diagnosed all of us. I can’t see how doctors would give my children or me medicin (it’s not even dangerous medicin since this is arthritis), just to keep me on their good side! But that’s the “explanation”. This is total horror, to say the least. Check out M.A.M.A. – there are many mothers who have been – or are – in my shoes. My child has never been hospitalazed and there is no real proof – still the CPS acted like judge and jury – without any opposition! I find this unreal, a living nightmare, and my child is frightened, scared, confused – and misses it’s home, family and friends.

DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A NAME OF A DISEASE THAT THE PERSON IS CONSTANTLY HAVING BABIES OR OPERATONS THAT IS NOT NEEDED. THE LATEST IS A HYSTERECTOMY THAT IS NOT NEEDED. BREAST BIOPSIES NOT NEEDED BUT DEMANDED SHE NEEDED ONE. BY THE TIME SHE WAS 29 SHE HAD BEEN PREGNANT 6 OR 7 TIMES. THE LAST ONE SHE DEMANDED FROM HER DR. SHE WANTED TO HAVE THE BABY ON HER GRANDS B-DAY. SHE INSISTED SHE NEEDED TO HAVE THIS CHILD SHE WAS HURTING, THEN BRAGGED ABOUT THE FACT, SHE ONLY DID IT TO HAVE THE BABY ON A CERTAIN DAY.,,,,, TWO OF HER CHILDREN ARE CONSTANTLY SICK BUT THE DR CANNOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THEM. SHE ALSO HAS STARTED GETTING TATOOS,,,,,, HER COUSIN IS A PHARMACIST AND SHE HOOKED UP THE TATOO GUY WITH THE COUSIN FOR FREE DRUGS EXCHANGED FOR TATOOS. SHE IS A SHOP AHOLIC . GOTTEN TO PLACE HER HUSBAND HAD TO PUT A FREEZE ON HIS CREDIT SHE WAS TAKEN OUT CREDIT CARD ACCTS IN HIS NAME AND MAXING THEM OUT AND NOT PAYING FOR THEM. SHE ALSO TRICKS PEOPLE INTO BELEIVING SHE IS THE BEST MOM IN WORLD AND DOES NOT FEED THEM THEY GET THEIR OWN FOOD. THE DAD MAkes sure there is food there . she needsa help and the family doesnt know what to do,,,,,,

It’s incredible the ways this disorder shows itself….Presently, I know a mother that is causing her 20 month old son (beginning at birth)to be retarded….not just a learning disability or ADHD. This is done with vitamin manipulation for the first 3 months of live. Symptoms mimic sever colic; so nothing is done. Then she destroys the nervous system by consistently applying ice cold internally & externally. Oh yes, there is the little issue of sleep for this body in it’s most extreme growth stage….she is forcing lack of security (no night light….screaming himself to sleep) therefore poor sleep habits are now evident. When his little body just gives in & sleeps, she puts him in bed which brings the screaming & fear.
But, oh yes, in public, she is the best, most nurturing mother on the planet. As is so common in abuse situations, he clings to her, supporting her ability to give to him when anyone is present.
I don’t get it…..God gave these very desiring parents (ages 31 & 33) the love of their lives for this baby to be the manipulation that brings her great esteem (what a wonderful mother you are)….
Proof otherwise…..no existent.

This sucks! My wife and I have a child with a rare disorder and now the CAS is blaming my wife saying that she has this disorder. There are people who have kids with rare disorders who don’t have this illness but the doctors or authorities use it as an easy way out! Shame on you! Ever seen the movie Lorenzo’s oil? Maybe you people should watch it and open your eyes. How would you feel if the authorties took away your kids with no proof? The authorities put loving parents like us through hell!

I know of someone who appears to have this condition. He is a single father and thrives on the attention that he receives through his children. He would NEVER admit to having a problem. He pumps the children full of over the counter medicine, takes them to the er regularly and then tells everone how bad the child was but is better now. The children are old enough to talk but scared to say a word for fear of his wrath. How does one help the children? This isn’t something easy to prove like a bruise or hand print.
