Actor and TV Show Host Nick Cannon is in hospital at the moment with what wife, Mariah Carey, describes to be mild kidney failure.
Mariah recently used twitter to tweet a photo of the them both in Nick’s hospital room in bed based in Colorado, and based on the Ministry of Gossip, Mariah had posted on her blog the following, “We’re trying to be as festive as possible under the circumstances but please keep Nick in your thoughts because this is very painful.”
Although information on Nick’s exacting form is limited, we do have some information on the situation from Dr. Bryan Becker, who is also the urgent past president of the National Kidney Foundation.
In the health check community, Becker said via a media rep, there really is no such thing called “mild kidney failure,” but he understands that Nick may have been put in hospital for some decrease in the way in which his kidney is functioning at the moment.
Acute kidney failure, according to the Mayo Clinic, refers to the sudden inability of the kidneys to achieve their main purpose: flushing extra fluids, waste material and salts from the blood. When that happens, those things may build up in the body.
Causes of Nick’s condition, Becker also added, could also include an illness, not enough water intake, or taking an over-the-counter medication such as Motrin or Advil. “For someone to have it and to be hospitalized raises an extra level of concern,” he said.
As to how fast Nick’s, the host of “America’s Got Talent” could be able to recover, Becker said if the condition is only mild, it would then depend on the cause — more fluids would help him get back to normal if he’s dehydrated, or if it’s related to another illness, it may get better over a longer period of time.
