Nine Foods That Can Get Rid of Headaches

Do you suffer from headaches? Did you know that there are nine foods that can get rid of headaches? Find out what they are in this article.

Headaches can be really painful and annoying.  I like to find cures for headaches that don’t require the use of aspirin.  I like to use household tips in order to cure my headaches.  I was searching for remedies to get rid of headaches and I found out that there are nine foods that can get rid of headaches.  I wanted to share these with you in case you want to try these tips to get rid of your headache.

Watermelon
A major cause for headaches is dehydration.  Watermelon contains ingredients that help ease headaches.  Watermelon is high in water so it will keep you hydrated. If you don’t want to eat the watermelon, you can always get it in a smoothie.  If you don’t like the taste of watermelon, you can eat other foods that are high in water.  These foods are cucumber, oatmeal, tomatoes, and lettuce.  I like watermelon so I will eat the watermelon.  Now I have another excuse to eat it.

Baked potato
This is beneficial if you have a hangover.  Eating foods rich in potassium will ease your hangover.  A baked potato has the most potassium.  It even has more than bananas.  I eat baked potatoes once in a while, but I don’t suffer from hangovers.  If you suffer from them, this tip may help you.

Whole Grain Bread
If you don’t get enough carbohydrates, it will cause headaches.  When you feel the onset of a headache, grab a piece of whole grain bread.  It has a healthy amount of carbohydrates that will ease your head.

Coffee
Drinking coffee in moderation will help get rid of your headache.  The caffeine in coffee shrinks the blood vessels and eases your headache.  You should be careful not too get too much coffee because it may make your headache worse than it was before.  Too much caffeine causes dehydration so you should try to limit your intake of it.  One cup of coffee should do the trick.  I don’t drink coffee anyway so this won’t be a problem for me.

Almonds
Almonds contain magnesium, which help relax the blood vessels.  Almonds would be really helpful for migraine sufferers.  Eating a handful of almonds is good for relieving migraine headaches.  I like to eat almonds so now I have another reason to eat them since they help ease headaches.

Yogurt
Lack of calcium is a cause for headaches.  You should eat foods rich in calcium.  Yogurt is rich in calcium so it will ease your headache.  I eat yogurt every now and again so this tip won’t be hard for me to follow.

Salsa
Depending on your headache, spicy foods like salsa will help your head feel better.  If you have a sinus headache, salsa will ease your congestion.  It helps ease the pressure in your head allowing it to feel better.

Spinach
You should eat two cups of spinach when you have a headache.  Spinach alleviates headaches as well as lowers blood pressure.  Including spinach in your diet may help alleviate headaches.

Sesame seeds
Sesame seeds are rich in Vitamin E, which prevents migraines during your menstruation. Sesame seeds also improve circulation, which will alleviate headaches.  I usually get headaches during my time of the month so this will be helpful for me.

These are all the nine foods that can get rid of headaches.  Feel free to use any or all of these tips in order to ease your headaches.  I hope these tips work for you.  I will try them too when I get a headache.
