Chairperson of Indonesia Cancer Information and Support Center (CISC), Cahyaning Puji Astuti, says at least there are about nine types of vegetables that are effectively proven to prevent the emergence of cancer.
She says that fruit and vegetable are actually much more powerful than vitamins, but not all vegetables and fruits are anti-cancer. According to her, the nine vegetables that effectively prevent cancer are:

However, although some vegetables and fruits are nutritious as anticancer, it requires vigilance and understanding of the substances contained in vegetables, including the attention of how to process them.
According to her, cabbage is the main enemy of cancer, no matter they are green cabbage, white cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, watercress or purple cabbage. In fact, the nature of the cabbage has been known since the time of Hippocrates, around 460-377 BC.
Hippocrates said that cabbage is a vegetable with thousands of benefits. Consuming cabbage at least five portions every week could reduce the risk of cancer as well as slow the progression of cancer.
But the way to process the cabbage must be observed well so it is not remove its benefit: do not cook the cabbage too long, it must be clean to be consumed, and please chew carefully.
Garlic and onions are also very effective for preventing cancer, especially gastrointestinal cancer, esophagus, stomach, colon, prostate, lung, and breast cancer.
Anti-cancer is also found in soybeans, which usually processed into tofu, tempe, and milk. Soy contains isoflavones, anti-cancer compounds that have chemical structures similar to sex hormones.

However she warns that excessive consumption of soy is not recommended for patients with breast cancer and prostate cancer. Both types of cancer are hormone-dependent cancers. Estrogen is bad for breast cancer,
while androgen hormones are not good for prostate cancer. In addition the recipes for avoiding the risk of cancer can be done by avoiding certain foods, such as pickled food, smoked foods, and fried foods.
Regular exercise, quit smoking, and avoiding red meat consumption are also good for healthy lifestyles, and need to be implemented to prevent cancer.
