Obesity and Its Dangers to Health

Obesity triggers other diseases since it directly affects metabolism.

These are sad times, economically and metabolically. (Can’t say which shall be taken care of first). Health clinics are running overtime. Magic pills for weight loss have become a fad. Acai has grown into a craze in juice bars of western society. What are these an active indication of? These show that the human race is finally conceding defeat and wants to change itself. Years of overindulgence, junk craving and lack of exercise regimen have made us into what we are today. Euphemistically put: FAT people.

Let’s see the perceived and in fact the realistic threat of it:

Cardio-vascular pile up- obesity can be caused from a lot of saturated fat. This results in high quantity of Low Density Cholesterol. LDL can clog the arterial walls and this can result into a cardiac stroke. The chances become higher once you are past the 40th winter of your life.

Diabetes- chances of hyperglycemia is higher when you are fat. Diabetes is a disease connected with malfunctioned processing of sugar in the body. With an increase in weight and fat tissues, its occurrence increases.

Arthritis- obesity means that the joints of your knees have greater weight to bear. This can result in the joint cartilages breaking down. This brings about a disease called degenerative arthritis or osteoarthritis. Again, it can become more ferocious once you are past the 40th year.

Toxin concentration- toxin concentration is a silent yet steady killer. Its chances increase because of metabolic reverses and the reverses are greater when we have a sedentary lifestyle. It is common knowledge that fat people become sedentary out of fatigue. So this is a chain reaction. Sedentary lifestyle brings dangerous toxin concentration and this brings more fatigue and sedentary living.

These diseases are hardly the tips of the iceberg. There are a lot more that can be discussed but the ambit of article is falling short for it.
