There is cure to dry eyes.
Most of the jobs today deal with computers. I, for one, work in front of my computer monitor 8 hours a day, sometimes even more. Hence, it is not really surprising to experience dry eyes. Having dry eyes syndrome is no joke. Sometimes I get irritated easily because I couldn’t seem to deal well with my eyes being so dry. Dry eyes hurt, and when they are not given the necessary attention, they could lead to much pain.
Because I was scared that my dry eyes could lead to a more serious illness, I had asked for help from my doctor. According to him staring at the computer monitor for a long time is really the main cause of my dry eyes. Added to this is the air conditioner in the office. He said that once the eyes receive a tremendous amount of air, they get dry. Too much heat could also cause dryness so does hormonal changes. Thus, when one is old, there is a possibility that he gets dry eyes.
My doctor prescribed an eye lubricant or Cellufresh. It’s a bit costly, but it’s really effective. It makes my eyes moisturized, especially when my eyes are so tired. I don’t go anywhere without my eye lubricant with me as I am prone to have dry eyes whether the weather is cold or hot.
The doctor also told me that I should rest my eyes every 20 minutes. Looking somewhere else aside from the monitor helps in moisturizing the eyes. Blinking often makes our eyes moisturized too.
To ensure that you’re getting the right treatment for whatever pain you might experience, it’s important that you consult your doctor first.
