Relieve a Sore Throat
If you want to relieve sore throat caused by flu, read this article and know how to do it.
The sore throat is due to upper respiratory tract infections, usually caused by viruses, but sometimes by a bacteria. The sore throat usually accompanies a cold or flu, it lasts about three days and may cause a slight fever. Natural remedies treat the infection and dampen inflammation.
Gargling with pepper
Pepper temporarily relieves sore throat. Gargle with 125 ml (4 fl oz.) Hot water, one teaspoon lemon juice, one teaspoon of salt and a pinch of pepper powder, several times a day.
Fight viruses with garlic
Garlic is a powerful ally of the immune system, excellent for fighting the viruses that cause many sore throats. Eat two cloves of raw garlic a day at the first sign of sore throat.
Chop finely and add them to chicken broth, hot, before serving. The heat of the soup also temporarily soothe the throat.
Calm the pain with infusion of marshmallow
Marshmallow contains a water-soluble fever calm irritated tissues. Ginger and peppermint help relieve inflammation.
- 250 ml (8 fl oz.) Water
- 1 tsp. Marshmallow root
- 1 tsp. Fresh ginger
- 1 tsp. Dried mint
Boil 5 minutes marshmallow root ginger and water in a covered pot. Remove saucepan from heat, add mint, cover the pot again and let stand 10 minutes.
Strain the infusion sweet it if desired, and drink many times as needed.
Gargle to improve
Gargling warm infusion of sap and sea salt soothe the throat and promote healing. The sap contains astringent compounds that temporarily removes the pain, and sea salt has some antiseptic properties.
- 250 ml (8 fl oz.) Boiling water
- 2 tsp. Dried sap
- ½ teaspoon. Sea salt
Pour water over the sage, cover and leave 10 minutes. Strain, add sea salt and gargle with this solution several times a day hot.
